The construction and development of cities are the carriers of human social progress.With the growing population size and the increasing level of industrial and commercial development,greenhouse effect,urban heat island effect,energy shortage and insufficient urban carrying capacity have emerged in the process of urban development.In this context,as a new development model,low-carbon cities have attracted worldwide attention,and many countries have launched pilot construction of low-carbon cities.Due to different policy backgrounds and economic development levels,there is still no unified construction of low-carbon urban system worldwide,and the development of low-carbon cities is still in the exploratory stage.Based on the existing low-carbon theory,this paper analyses and evaluates the status quo of Taiyuan city development and the correlation of influencing factors of urban carbon emissions,constructs a set of low-carbon evaluation index system for Taiyuan city construction,and discusses the path choice of Taiyuan city construction of low-carbon city.Taiyuan City is the main area of urban development in Shanxi Province,and now it has gradually changed its development model to accommodate the relationship between economy and environment.Firstly,this paper makes a comparative analysis of the literature review at home and abroad,that is,from the theory of low-carbon cities,the construction of low-carbon indicators and the practice of low-carbon cities,then introduces the relevant concepts and theoretical basis,and carries out data analysis on the development status of Taiyuan City: Taiyuan City is now dominated by the second and third industries,while the second industry is mainly based on energy consumption,and Taiyuan City's carbon emissions.It mainly comes from industrial energy consumption,so adjusting the industrial structure,developing high-tech in the secondary industry and encouraging the use of new energy are the main means to reduce carbon emissions.Then,according to the international common IPCC carbon emission calculation coefficient,the carbon emission of Taiyuan City is calculated,and the Correl function,IPAT model and other methods are used to analyze the fitting degree of carbon emission factors and other factors.According to the current situation of development and the analysis of influencing factors of carbon emissions,this paper chooses three low-carbon indicators of economy,energy and environment,uses the entropy weight method to determine the weight of evaluation index of low-carbon cities in Taiyuan,obtains the comprehensive score every year,and chooses six northern cities to compare horizontally with Taiyuan,in order to evaluate the low-carbon development level of Taiyuan.Finally,the SWOT analysis method is used to make a comprehensive evaluation of Taiyuan's low-carbon city construction.Then,by drawing on the development experience of developed low-carbon cities abroad,such as the low-carbon bill of the United Kingdom and the United States,Denmark's adjustment of energy structure and economic development structure,the path suggestions for Taiyuan's low-carbon city construction are put forward.
