Hydrogen sulfide?H2S?emission is one of important sources of ordor problem in landfills of China. As we know,H2S is mainly produced by the action of microorganisms on organic and inorganic sulfur-containing materials in landfill sites. The emission levels and yield estimation of H2S has important guiding significance for odor control to the landfill site, but don't get enough attention.H2S emission level is affected by many factors, such as landfill type, collection location, gas composition, and environmental indexs.Based on the situation, this study focus on continuous collecting and monitoring the landfill gas composition and concentration from three different types landfill site and using the method of correlation and regression analysis to analysis the data and get the important factors affecting H2S emission level, which is used for the landfill gas collection system maintenance and odor control guidance. At the same time,it provides basic data support and parameter optimization for the landfill H2S emission model. The study uses the new estimation model to estimate the H2S emission of domestic household garbage in landfill. It was found that H2S emission in the three landfill sites was generally at a low level, between 0 and 1054 ppm.Among them, the H2S concentration in the well?46 ppm?is significantly higher than that of the H2S concentration under the HDPE film?8 ppm?.The level of H2S?54ppm?in domestic sanitary landfill sites is significantly higher than that of ash landfill sites?1 4ppm?.The H2S release level?816 ppm?in the fresh landfill area is significantly higher than that in the old landfill area?140 ppm?.The H2S emission level in the well of the landfill showed significant difference on the concentration of carbon dioxide and methane, the temperature and rainfall conditions, the well location and time.Among them, the H2S concentration in the well has a significant positive correlation with carbon dioxide concentration?r=0.55?and methane concentrations?r=0.53?,and has a significant negative correlation with oxygen concentration?r=0.28?and rainfall?r=0.23?,also shows positive correlation with temperature. At the same time, the study presents the linear regression model of H2S concentration estimation under the influence of landfill gas composition, environmental index, well site location and other factors. The H2S emission will also affect the release of methane and carbon dioxide in landfill gas,and even inhibit the production of methane at high concentrations.According to actual landfill site monitoring data, the parameter in LandGEM estimation model were optimizated, and in accordance with the optimized model, parameters in the landfill hydrogen sulfide estimate first-order decay model were estimated. In the first-order decay model,Ls0 is 0.09 m3/t,and ks is 0.27 1/yr.The results of this study will provide data and theoretical support for the estimation of hydrogen sulfide release level and yield in China's landfill sites.
