In recent years,dust pollution has received more and more attention from the society,the content of particulate in the atmosphere has become the important cause leading to the incidence of respiratory disease increased significantly,so the relevant departments in some countries have already begun to take measures to separate the particles in the air to achieve the air quality standards by reliable and effective technology.Compared with bag-type dust collector,electrostatic separator and other separation equipment,cyclone separation technology has become the important separation technology in the field of gas-solid separation due to its advantages of easy operation and easy maintenance,but the reliability of its separation performance and universality still need to be further improved.Based on the intermittent dust removal mechanism and the secondary backmixing phenomenon caused by the bottom collecting tank of the traditional cyclone separator,this paper puts forward the idea of using drainage to strengthen the cyclone separator to separate particles.Secondly,a new cyclone separator with the function of drainage was designed and processed.Then the effects of inlet flow,inlet pressure,inlet concentration and drainage flow on the separation performance of the new cyclone separator with drainage function were studied experimentally,and the reasonable operating parameters were obtained.Finally,the effects of the physical parameters of the particles on the separation performance of the new cyclone separator were investigated by particle size and density experiments.The experimental results show that compared with the traditional cyclone separator,the new cyclone separator with the drainage function achieves the continuous separation purpose and the separation efficiency is higher,for 10 ?m particles,the separation efficiency is up to 89.7%,but the energy loss is also large.In addition,the separation efficiency,shunt ratio and energy loss of the new cyclone separator are most affected by changing the drainage flow.The change of inlet flow has the greatest influence on the concentration of overflow outlet.The performance of the new cyclone separator does not change with the inlet pressure.With the increase of particle size and density,the separation efficiency and energy loss of cyclone separator will increase.The new cyclone separator with drainage function proposed in this papereffectively improves the limitations of the traditional cyclone separation technology,provides a reference for the setting of operational parameters for the subsequent experiments of cyclone separation particulate matter,and is of great significance for the separation and capture of particulate matter in the field of environmental protection.
