| EPC(Engineering,Procurement,Construction)model is a set of engineering,procurement,construction project transaction mode for the integration of construction,and this contracting mode is widely used in the chemical engineering construction field.In the EPC general contracting,engineering as the leading link,the schedule management is particularly important.Different from the usual critical path method,the critical chain method emphasizes on the overall situation,considering the constraints of resources,eliminating safety time.This is of great significance to improve the schedule,so this paper will try to apply the critical chain method to the EPC chemical project engineering.This paper selects the engineering design process of spinning area which is relatively independent in process design and piping design as the research object,according to the work breakdown structure-duration estimation-restriction factors identification-the critical path recognition-resources leveling-safety time elimination-the critical chain determination steps to formulate the critical chain scheduling.Also project buffer and feeding buffer are established in the critical chain and buffer control is implemented.Through the research,it proved that the critical chain schedule method can shorten the engineering design duration in the polyester project,reduce the design cost,and improve the design efficiency.Especially,it can overcome the delay caused by "Murphy’s law","student syndrome" and "Parkinson’s law".For large and medium-sized projects,whether it is the petrochemical industry,or construction,nuclear power and other industries,the critical chain method can play a excellent role in project management.In this regard,many domestic and foreign scholars used to do a lot of research on the critical chain,and put forward some improved methods in eliminating safety time,determining the critical chain,setting up and monitoring buffer,coordinating management mechanism and so on,according to the characteristics of the actual project.This paper also believe that an efficient organization should be build when using this method,therefore some discussions such as buffer settings,the applicability of the method,the environment for the implementation of the method on the method practical application were thrown out,and several improved methods based on schedule management methods are also introduced when connecting actual situation. |
