At present,many domestic smelting and casting enterprises have not carried out information construction,the production management and control mode of which is still based on manual operation and manual ledger-type data transmission.However,with the expansion of enterprises' production scale,such production mode has been unable to adapt to the rapid pace of production,as well as the enterprises' increasingly stringent requirements for quality,production,cost.Therefore,how to improve the level of fine management,quality supervision and control in the production process,and the accuracy level of production cost statistics by means of informatization has become an urgent problemfor smelting and casting enterprises to improve.Taking the Steelmaking Plant of Taiyuan Heavy Industry Smelting and Casting Company as the research background,this paper studies the relevant informatization transformation,which mainly covers the following work:(1)By investigating and analyzing the current situation of production management of steelmaking system,the functions of departments and the process flowin the smelting and casting enterprises,the overall demand,the long-term goal and the implementation path of the informatization transformation are determined,that is,the ERP system is taken as the long-term goal to carry out a simple preliminary design and the planning and design of MES(Manufacturing Execution System)management platform is taken as the main content of this paper for study.(2)The overall planning of the information system of smelting and casting enterprises is developed,the system is divided into four layers,namely,ERP/MES/L2/L1,and the functions of ERP system are simply designed and introduced,including financial management,sales management,production management,quality management,procurement management and equipment management,etc.But ERP design is not taken as the research focus of this paper.(3)According to the characteristics of the whole production process of the steelmaking system in the smelting and casting enterprises,the functional modules of the MES system,such as raw materials,production plan,operation plan management,production performance,inventory,production scheduling,shipment,tools,energy,and spot inspection and management of equipment,are designed specifically to solve the conflicts and problems encountered in the production process.Specifically,the design of two special function modules of fine quality control and fine cost management aims at solving two difficult problems that have been plaguing the development of enterprises: unstable quality and high cost.Fine quality control can assist quality managers to analyze process quality,control process quality,and trace process quality,etc.by using various data analysis methods provided by the method base of data integration platform,so that product quality can be improved and stabilized.The horizontal refinement specific to varieties and orders,the vertical refinement specific to days,shifts and hours,and organization refinement specific to workshops and processes are realized by fine cost management,which provides an important basis for enterprise cost analysis and assessment.(4)The overall structure and function modules of MES system are systematically developed and realized.The operability of the system is illustrated by practical examples in smelting and casting enterprises,and the effect of system function implementation is summarized and evaluated.Through this informatization transformation,the smelting and casting enterprises will take the centralized management of production process as the core,optimize the management and business process,establish the quality system of product specification and smelting specification,construct the advanced and thorough smelting information system platform,and realize the unified management of all links of the smelting system,thus providing strong support for the product quality and cost control of the enterprises.
