Barite is the most important material for oil fields, the oil field mainly through the adsorption drilling fluid modifier to achieve lipophilic and hydrophilic effect,to meet different aggravating conditions, but, the barite and drilling fluid modifier mechanism of action is not a unified understanding, this paper mainly through the barite adsorption of different drilling fluid modifier, with the methods of XPS and infrared,to analyze the adsorption mechanism.Experiments selected sodium oleate, stearic acid, sodium stearate, sodium dodecyl benzene sulfonate,DTAB,octadecylamine, sodium dodecyl sulfonate, sodium dodecyl sulfate,SD-102,sodium hexametaphosphate, sodium silicate,SP-80,lecithin as a modifier to modify barite,by the purification of the barite and the adsorption conditions of the different modifier,at the same time,by means of XPS and IR,Find the adsorption mechanism of different modifier. It was found by XPS and infrared spectroscopy, the adsorption of the drilling fluid modifier presents the fracture of the old chemical bonds and the formation of new chemical bonds, the mechanism of sodium oleate is the dissociation of O-Na bonds in sodium oleate, the unsaturated O in the sodium oleate binds to Ba on the surface of the barite, causing changes in the electronic binding energy,Chemical shift occurred;Octadecylamine is physically adsorbed on the surface of the barite, there is no chemical bond change;Lecithin two hydroxyl dissociation occurred,The unsaturated N and P are respectively connected to Ba and S on the surface of the barite,so that the lecithin is adsorbed on the surface of the barite in a chemically adsorbed form; After the SP-80 is dissolved in ethanol, the hydroxyl group is dissolved in ethanol to expose the unsaturated bond,so that the unsaturated carbon in SP-80 binds to S on the surface of the barite; The Na ion dissociation in SD-102,the unsaturated oxygen in SD-102 binds to the Ba on the surface of the barite, that is,SD-102 is adsorbed on the surface of the barite in the form of chemical adsorption,Of the Ba-O bond binding is not the original barite in the Ba-O bond binding energy.
