Research On The Pro-environment Behavior Of Farmers And Its Influencing Factors

Since the reform and opening up 40 years,especially after the 18 th National Congress of the Communist Party of China,the environmental governance work and cause in china's rural areas have achieved remarkable achievements.A large number of outstanding rural environmental problems have been solved,and the face of the vast rural areas has undergone a major positive change.At the same time,there are still some rural environmental problems that need to be resolved,and the effective solution of agricultural environmental problems can promote the positive improvement of the rural environment.The quality of the agricultural environment is not only related to the quality of the rural environment,but also to the long-term development of rural areas.The current agricultural environmental problems are still prominent,and agricultural non-point source pollution is more common in some areas.In rural areas,farmers are the mainstay of agricultural production and the main body of implementing pro-environmental agriculture.Therefore,farmers' behavior has a direct impact on rural and agricultural environment.The pro-environmental agricultural policy can only be implemented to change farmers' willingness to operate and improve pro-environmental behavior of farmers.Therefore,in order to promote the improvement of rural and agricultural environment,it is necessary to further research the behavior of farmers,especially the research of pro-environmental behavior of farmers.In the process of researching the pro-environmental behavior of farmers,the government and environmental protection agencies need to focus on and solve the current and future environmental behavior of farmers,rather than the existing environmental behavior of farmers,which requires the research of environmental behavior of farmers to have certain dynamic and forward-looking.This thesis uses a combination of literature research and questionnaire survey,qualitative analysis and quantitative analysis to guide farmers' behavior theory,behavioral theory and the theory of the coordinated development of argricultural ecological-economic system is the basis of research,and the literature related to farmers' behavior and pro-environmental behavior are sorted out.On the basis of defining the pro-environmental behavior of farmers,the influence of various factors on pro-environmental behavior of farmers and the influencing factors are explored.The relationship between the two,and the characteristics of different influencing factors were researched.Based on the relevant data obtained from the field research in Qichun County,Hubei Province,this thesis finds that the level of pro-environmental behavior of farmers is not high as a whole,and farmers' perceptions of pro-environmental behavior show diversity.In view of this,this paper finds through the Logit regression model that farmers' perceptions of pro-environmental behavior are affected by many factors,including the individual characteristics of farmers(age,gender,participation in training),and the family characteristics of farmers(family population size and family income level),agricultural production characteristics(family farming time and cultivated land area)and farmers' environmental cognition characteristics,including farmers' perception of agricultural residue hazards and value perception of rural ecological environment.Therefore,in order to promote the cultivation of pro-environmental behavior of farmers,the government and public welfare institutions should increase the publicity and training investment of farmers,and raise the awareness level of pro-environmental behavior of farmers;increasing the production capital accumulation of farmers and reduce the restrictions on production costs for farmers;improving farmers' production waste recycling mechanism,encouraging and guiding farmers to practice pro-environmental behavior;accelerating the transfer of land management rights of farmers and promoting the moderate scale operation of agriculture.The possible innovations in this thesis are mainly reflected in the research of supplementing and deepening pro-environmental behavior of farmers.In the previous research on rural ecological environment,the related research on the relative behavior of farmers was mainly from the macroscopic point of view.This thesis takes the micro-subject behavior of “farmers' own pro-environmental behavior” as the research point of penetration and researchs its behavior.The intrinsic characteristics and potential factors affecting the behavior make the research more specific and comprehensive.However,this thesis also has some shortcomings.On the one hand,the survey datas comes from Qichun County,Hubei Province,which has a negative impact on the representativeness of datas and research results objectively,which means that the research results and conclusions of this thesis are not necessarily applicable for other provinces.The ability to interpret and predict the environmental behavior of farmers in the region is not known;on the other hand,the pro-environmental behavior of farmers assessment model constructed in this thesis still has many shortcomings.Although the specific conditions of pesticide application and fertilizer application are taken into account in this thesis,it is limited by the measurement methods and models,and the classification of pests and diseases and excessive over-application are classified as lack of rigor.In addition,the indicators selected in this thesis may not be comprehensive enough to some extent,and these issues need to be further deepened and improved in future research.
