Scraper conveyor sprocket is a key component of its transmission system and has an important impact on the life of the squeegee conveyor.The design of the sprocket often determines the rationality of its structure,and the rationality of the sprocket design will directly affect the life of the conveyor system of the scraper conveyor.Using advanced digital design technology,computer graphics technology and network technology are integrated into the design process of sprocket,and a parameterized design system of scraper conveyor sprocket based on WebGL is established.The parametric design of the sprocket is not only realized in the system,but also can be accessed without any plugins,which can fully meet the needs of the client for easy access.Therefore,it is significant to carry on the parametric design of the sprocket under the WebGL method and establish a complete system in the LAN environment.Not only can the sprocket design method based on WebGL improve the design efficiency of the sprocket of the scraper conveyor,but also it can provide technical support for the parametric design of other mechanical components.Firstly,after basically explaining of WebGL technology,WebGL third-party library(THREE.JS),which is the core tool of the parametric design,is led outand explained in detail.Taking some common 3D models as an example,the JavaScript language is used to parameterize the 3D graphics.The programming language is used to introduce how the core built-in functions based on the THREE.JS library are parameterized.The above provides a design basis for the parametric design of the scraper conveyor sprocket.Secondly,through the detailed analysis of the existing sprocket parametric design theory method,combined with the parameterization principle of the WebGL third-party library(THREE.JS),the preliminary idea of parameterized design of the sprocket based on WebGL is formed.Then through the modeling of the sprocket under the three-dimensional software,the most complicated chain of the sprocket structure is analyzed in detail.Combined with the parameterization function which can be provided by the THREE.JS library,the design method of the complex structure chain is determined.The sprocket is successfully modeled after using the THREE.JS library,also the parametric design of the sprocket of the scraper conveyor is completed.And through extended research,some design methods based on the WebGL THREE.JS library for other mechanical components are summarized.Finally,according to the parameterized design method of the WebGL-based scraper conveyor sprocket,the 3D printing technology is used to print the sprocket based on WebGL design.By comparing with the factory-made sprocket,the feasibility of this method is determined.At the same time,in order to enable engineers to learn and use this method,a parameterized design system for thescraper conveyor sprocket in the LAN environment is established.The system is mainly divided into four large modules: sprocket online editing library,sprocket online selection library,sprocket model download library and THREE.JS learning library.Through system testing,users can easily access the system in a LAN environment.
