The scraper conveyor is important equipment for coal production, complete mainly coal transport task. But because the bad running condition, the chain’s trouble occur frequently,it affects it affects coal safety and high efficient production.In order to solve the engineering problems, firstly, a dynamic model has been founded and simulated in this article, which can be used for researching of the dynamic characteristic of AFC sprocket transmission system. Secondly,the rigid-flexible coupling model of sprocket transmission system is established, in the which the vertical chains is flexible body.Dynamic simulation is carried out on the condition of electromotor rated power output, constant power output, maximum power output. Dynamic stress/strain histories of chains are attained. On the bases of load histories, Palmgren-Miner rules are used to estimate the fatigue life of vertical chain. Finally, the device for monitoring chain’s status of conveyor is developed.With the device, the trouble, such as chain-breanking.locked-rotor, scraper-breaking,chain-jumping,can be detected and the result can be send to the control room on the ground.Base on the virtual prototyping technology, the fatigue life of chain is estimated, trouble dectecting device is designed. This work can effectively improve the safety of coal production.
