In the21st century, the demand of the steel is more and more, the sintering machinesupplying raw materials for the blast furnace is becoming more important. It is insufficientin the structure and transmission principle to use the odd-tooth sintering machine that leadto the pallet car's volatility and the phenomenon of the arching when it works, thisproblem will cause the abrasion at the side bottom of every pallet car then result in a massof air leakage. The problem of the pallet car'arching has been resolved effectively to bringto bear the resistance moment in the tail of the sintering machine, and based on thetransmission and meshing theory, announced the even-teeth sprocket wheel and thecorresponding tooth profile, became the most ideal transmission way of sintering machine'sprocket wheel so far. But the design theory about selecting the motion of the pallet car isstill inadequate: first, the transition period of tooth profile curve is comprised of the twocurves, that make the meshing process is not stable and the equation is complex; second,the movement causes the acceleration of the pallet car in the beginning and end ofpursuing, this will produce harmful impact between the pallet car. So the tooth profileneed to be further optimized.First of all, this paper optimizes the profile curve that based on the theory of theexisting new type sintering machine's sprocket wheel, gets the transition section of thecomposite gear'tooth profile that can make the pallet car have no impact in the pursuingand pulling the seam. It improves the new sprocket wheel's parameters formula, andanalyzes the geometric characteristics and engagement characteristics of the tooth profile.It proves the feasibility of the tooth profile theoretically. It provides the theoretical basisfor further studying on this pin gear transmission.Second, this paper builds the model of the sintering machine. It establishes the newtype sintering machine's virtual prototype to use the software ADAMS. It further verifiesthe feasibility of the new sprocket wheel through the new type sintering machine'smovement simulation, and the design requirement can be satisfy.The last, by using Visual Basic6.0, this paper designs a new type sintering machine'sparameter design system. At present the parametric design of the new type sinteringmachine's core components (star wheel, pallet car, the orbit) can be realize. And using Solidworks for the secondary development, it realizes the automatic3D modeling of thenew sprocket wheel. Through linking to new type sintering machine's simulation result,operation process and simulation data can be show in the system.
