Silicone/acrylate polymer is an composite material containing both the good temperature resistance,water resistence,good permeability of silicone and the excellent membrane formability of acrylate.It has been widely used in sealants,fabric agents and personal-care.The Si-H groups readily react with acryloxy group through hydrosilylation reaction under rather mild conditions,and the hydrosilylation is one of the most atom economical and efficient artifices.The main research work and conclusions were summarized as following:Acrylate-ended siloxane macromonomer was synthesized by esterification of acrylic acid?AA?and PEGylated siloxane alcohol.The optimum reaction temperature,reaction time,addition ratio and catalysts were selected by experiment.The optimum conditions of the synthesis of the acrylic macromonomer were as follow:The reaction temperature was 95 oC,the reaction time was 8 h,the ratio was 1:10,the esterification rate is up to 87%.P-toluene sulfonic acid?1.5 wt%?was as catalyst and hydroquinone?0.6 wt%?was as inhibitor.According to the optimal synthetic method,the acrylate-ended siloxane macromonomer were obtained.The characterization were performed by the preliminnary analysis of structure using fourier transform infrared spectrometry and nuclear magnetic resonance.Polyethylene glycol acrylate polysiloxane was obtained directly by hydrosilylation of PMHS and acrylate-ended siloxane macromonomer.The mixture were dissolved in isopropyl alcohol and reacted under the catalyst of Speier's catalyst under 80 oC,moisture-and oxygen-free conditions for 6 h.The FT-IR,1H,13C,29Si-NMR and TGA proved that polyethylene glycol acrylate polysiloxane was successfully synthesized.The surface chemical composition and micro-phase morphology were obtained by X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy?XPS?and scanning electron microscope?SEM?,respectively.The hydrophobic/hydrophilic and surface energy was studied by contact angle measurement?CA?.The emulsions were prepared by mixing the polyethylene glycol acrylate polysiloxane with the other ingredient.Its compatibility with other ingredient and effect on the stability of formulation were studied.It was found that the polyethylene glycol acrylate polysiloxane had good compatibility with other ingredient.After the introduction of polyethylene glycol acrylate polysiloxane the viscosity of the emulsion increased,and the static stability,high/low temperature stability and centrifugal stability of the emulsion were enhanced.The dosage of polyethylene glycol acrylate polysiloxane was 3.75 wt%.
