Cotton fabrics are widely used in the apparel fabric industry for excellent performance.However,cotton fabrics are flammable fibers,which have poor flame retardant properties and are prone to cause fires.As a result,fires rapidly spread and cause disasters.Therefore,it is necessary to carry out durable flame retardant finishing of cotton fabrics,so that after repeated washing,it still has Flame retardant performance for fire prevention purposes.The cotton fabric that has been flame-retarded will turn yellow.For the sake of fabric aesthetics,the fabric has both flame retardancy and whiteness,and the finished fabric needs to be whitened.In this paper,the durable flame retardants RFR and RF-80 M were firstly screened,and the three properties of bursting strength,water absorption and water washing resistance were investigated.The best finishing process of flame retardant RFR was 420g/L for flame retardant RFR,80g/L for crosslinked resin SMD,15g/L for phosphoric acid,5g/L for penetrant JFC,and the baking temperature was 145°C,the baking time was 3.5min.The water absorption of the fabric deteriorates as the amount of the flame retardant RFR increases,regardless of the resin SMD.The best finishing process of flame retardant FR-80 M was 430g/L for flame retardant,100g/L for cross-linking resin,17g/L for phosphoric acid,5g/L for penetrant,and the baking temperature was145°C,the baking time was 3.5min.The hydrophilicity of the fabric deteriorates as the amount of the flame retardant FR-80 M and the resin AM-2 increases.Soaping at a temperature of 49 ° C for4.5 h,the fabrics finished with two flame retardants still had excellent flame retardancy.The factors affecting the bursting strength of the fabric were: the higher the baking temperature,the longer the time,the greater the concentration of phosphoric acid,the greater the loss of fabric strength;the increase in the amount of flame retardant,the strength loss of fabric increases,but after the amount reached the limit,the fabric The strength loss had no longer changed;the amount of cross-linking resin increased,the strength of the fabric increased,but the hand feels became hard.The article also studied the effect of fabric structure on the flame retardant effect.The larger the basis weight of the fabric,the tighter the structure,the better the flame retardant effect of the finished fabric.The flame retardancy of the cotton fabric was better than that of the cottonmodal blend fabric and viscose fabric;the flame retardancy of plain cloth was better than that of terry fabric,mesh fabric,and rib fabric.This paper analyzed the causes of yellowing of fabrics and proposed ways to reduce yellowing.The factors affecting the whiteness of the fabric were as follows: high baking temperature,long baking time,low whiteness of the fabric;increasing the dosage of crosslinked resin,the whiteness of the fabric rose first and then fell;increasing the dosage of flame retardant,the whiteness of the fabric had no significant effect.The amount of cross-linking resin did not have much influence on the whiteness of the fabric.Under the premise of ensuring flame retardancy,the method of improving whiteness was hydrogen peroxide and fluorescent whitening agent finishing method.The hydrogen peroxide optimal finishing process was as follows: the concentration of hydrogen peroxide was 10 g/L,bleaching temperature was 80?,time was 20min;the fluorescent whitening agent optimal finishing process was as follows: the concentration of fluorescent whitening agent was 1mL/g,temperature was 90?,holding time was 15 min.The powder has a certain improvement in whiteness,however,compared with the whiteness before fabric finishing,still has difference.
