An Empirical Analysis On The Relationship Between Economic Growth And Environmental Quality In Dongting Lake Ecological Economic Zone

The Dongting Lake Ecological Economic Zone includes 3 cities of Yueyang,Changde and Yiyang,Wangcheng District of Changsha City and Jingzhou City of Hubei Province.There are a total of 33 counties and cities.This area is not only an indispensable large agricultural production site in China,but also very There are important ecological function protection areas.The strategic planning of Dongting Lake's ecological economy is a development-oriented strategy.The environmental protection and economic development of Dongting Lake Ecological Economic Zone has gradually become a key research topic for many scholars.This article will focus on the empirical research between the economic growth and the environmental quality of the Dongting Lake Ecological Economic Zone.We hope to find a way to coordinate the relationship between the two and promote the sustainable development of the Dongting Lake Ecological Economic Zone.This paper collects economic and environmental data from the Dongting Lake Eco-economic Zone,Changde City,Yiyang City,and Yueyang City from 2000 to 2016,and uses SPSS and Eviews software to address the reality of the low level of secondary indicators under some primary economic indicators.The entropy weight method was used to derive the weight of each secondary environmental assessment index.Multiple linear regression was used to analyze whether there was a long-term cointegration relationship between economic growth and environmental quality in the Dongting Lake eco-economic zone.The generalized pulse function method of the VAR model was used.The variance decomposition method studies the interaction between economic growth and environmental quality in Changde City,Yiyang City and Yueyang City from the time dimension.This article draws the following conclusions through multiple linear regression analysis: There is a long-term co-integration relationship between economic growth and environmental quality in the Dongting Lake Ecological Economic Zone as a whole.Among them,the environmental impact of green area has the largest impact on economic growth,through industrial structure changes and The increase of green area can promote the economic growth of Dongting Lake Ecological Economic Zone.Based on the establishment of regional VAR model,the short-term GDP per capita of Changde City,Yiyang City and Yueyang City is positive,whether it is impulse response to industrial structure change or impulse response to green area,and the impulse response to waste emission It is negative,in which Changde's economic growth is affected by a large percentage of GDP per capita,and the economic growth of Yiyang and Yueyang is mainly affected by waste emissions.Therefore,this paper proposes: 1.Transforming the economic growth mode and optimizing the industrial structure;2.Increasing the government's environmental protection investment and promoting the progress of environmental protection technologies;3.Breaking the boundary of administrative divisions and developing the special economy according to local conditions;4.Improving laws and regulations and enhancing the public Environmental awareness.
