In recent years, with the continuous increase of the scale of economic development and.the acceleration of the industrialization process,China's environmental problems have occurred frequently,.and the ecological quality has shown a cliff-like decline.Enterprise development has made an important contribution to China's GDP growth, but at the same time,it has also brought serious pollution problems, which is the "trigger"of most environmental disputes. The report of the 19th National Congress of the Communist Party of China stated that "the government should take the lead and the enterprise should be the main body, and social organizations and the public should participate in the environmental governance system." As the main body of China's environmental governance,it is necessary to solve environmental problems and improve the quality of the ecological environment. At the same time,China's environmental laws and regulations have gradually improved, law enforcement has continued to improve, and the illegal cost of environmental damage to enterprises has increased exponentially.Despite increasing institutional pressure on environmental management,in practice, companies have implemented differentiated environmental strategies. The traditional research perspective based on institutional pressures cannot explain the reasons for the heterogeneity of the above-mentioned corporate environmental strategies. In this regard, this study is based on the perspective of institutional complexity, and believes that in the process of environmental management, enterprises face the coexistence of ecological logic and business logic.Differentiated value choices when enterprises face multiple institutional logics lead to heterogeneity of final behavior. At the same time, this research is based on the theory of organizational identity that the role of organizational identity change as an intermediate mechanism will transmit the complexity of the system's logic to the choice of corporate eco-environmental strategy.Based on the above research ideas, this research first sorts out the existing researches on the three themes of institutional logic and institutional complexity, corporate eco-environmental strategy selection and evolution, organizational identity and identity change. In addition to summarizing and summarizing the research on the three topics, the relationship between the three is also analyzed, and the research framework of this research is proposed.Based on the literature, this study adopts a vertical single case study.Considering the extreme and inspiring nature of the case, based on the principle of typicality and theoretical sampling,Kingenta was selected as the target company for analysis. The research is mainly based on archival data, supplemented by part of the interview data.Data analysis is carried out using grounded theoretical procedures. The study found that Kingenta's eco-environmental management process coexisted with ecological logic and business logic.Based on the changes in centrality and compatibility between system logics, this study found that Kingenta has experienced the logic complexity of dominant, alienated, competitive and alliance systems. At the same time,at different stages of institutional complexity,Kingenta's eco-environmental strategy has shown a reactive type and a defensive type in turn. There are four leading models based on the upstream and midstream industries and the downstream industry chain-based leadership eco-environmental strategy.During the simultaneous evolution of institutional logic complexity and eco-environmental strategy, the study found that Kingenta's organizational identity change served as a bridge between the two, transmitting the effect of institutional complexity on eco-environmental strategy.Faced with the urgency of the current enterprises to solve the problem of environmental pollution,eco-environmental strategy has become a new trend in the field of strategic management.Starting from the phenomenon, this study pays more attention to the heterogeneous selection and long-term evolution of environmental strategies. This study's comprehensive institutional logic complexity perspective and organizational identity perspective reveal the dynamics and long-term evolution paths of corporate eco-environmental strategy choices and provide practical inspiration for companies to better implement eco-environmental management.
