In recent years, ecological and environmental problems have drawn particular attention from scholars,in which air quality was closely related to human survive and development.Shandong province was a major producer of smoke and dust emission, and according to the yearbook data, the average smoke and dust emission in Shandong province from 2006 to 2016 was 812,600 tons, higher than the national level of 463,300 tons. Therefore,it was of great practical and theoretical significance to study the emission of smoke and dust in Shandong province.Studies have shown that industry and construction industry in Shandong province had a significant impact on the smoke and dust emission.China was a large country of traditional agricultural production, but there were few studies on the impact of agricultural structure on smoke and dust emission.Although the proportion of agriculture was much lower than that of industry and construction, its effect on the smoke and dust emission could not be ignored.Based on this situation, this paper aimed to analyze the influence of factors such as municipal agricultural structure on the smoke and dust emission in Shandong province from 2006 to 2016 by using the panel data fixed effect regression model with the help of STATA.The research results showed that, first, the province's smoke and dust emission in 2016 decreased by 3.80% compared with 2006,indicating that the smoke and dust emission in Shandong province had been controlled during the study period.Second, the proportion of agriculture in Shandong province was between [0.04,0.06],which indicated that on the whole, the proportion of agriculture in Shandong province was growing steadily.Thirdly, the urbanization rate of permanent resident population in Shandong province increased year by year from 46.10% in 2006 to 59.02% in 2016,an increase of 28%,indicating that the urbanization scale of Shandong province was gradually expanding during the study period.Fourth, every 1% increase in agricultural structure would reduce the emission of smoke and dust by 0.38%.For every 1% reduction in the urbanization rate, the emission of smoke and dust would be reduced by 0.42%,and the emission of smoke and dust caused by the reduction in the urbanization rate would be further reduced.Although the proportion of industry was large,it had not passed the measurement significance test. The influence of construction industry on smoke and dust emission also needed further study. In conclusion, increasing agricultural structure could effectively reduce smoke and dust emission, and the urbanization level would cause increase of smoke and dust emissions,so cities in Shandong province should pay close attention to the agricultural proportion abatement effect in future, developing new type of agriculture, improving agriculture proportion, controlling urban population scale, using cleaner production, strengthening supervision policy and financial support to promote energy conservation and emission reduction.
