As an important part of non-traditional machining,Wire-cut Elctrical Dischage Machining(WEDM)has made considerable progress in processing technology and cutting material research,but the control method still stays in the inherent combination of PC and Motion Controlling Board.With the development of intelligent manufacturing,5g factory and other new concepts,it is of great significance to promote the combination of WEDM and new concepts with new technology and new thinking for the whole WEDM industry in the future.Under the background of factory becoming unmanned and highly automated,terminal remote control is an important way to achieve a smart factory.Android mobile terminal has successfully built the largest ecosystem in the embedded field due to its friendly human-computer interaction experience.In the era of5 g communication technology overall layout,Android mobile terminal will most intuitively obtain relevant technical support.It is of great significance to explore the overall development of WEDM industry to realize WEDM motion control with the help of Android platform.In this paper,the motion control of WEDM is divided into two parts by the upper and lower computer structure.The Android mobile terminal with friendly human-computer interaction performance is the upper computer,and the STM32 chip with powerful hardware control functions is the lower computer.The upper computer is devoted to the research of human-computer interaction functions,integrating engineering drawing,G-code output,and interaction with the lower computer.The lower computer focuses on state detection,code analysis,trajectory planning,stepper motor feed,WEDM voltage detection and other core issues of motion control.The Android host computer uses Open GL ES technology to complete the graphics drawing and editing functions,and the Bluetooth communication technology is used to solve the data interaction and control of the lower computer.The lower computer combines GRBL numerical control core algorithm,focus on data serial communication,,G-code analysis,interrupt control,forward-looking algorithm trajectory planning,multi-stepping motorjoint control,wire cutting power cut back,etc.According to STM32 hardware implementation principle,elaborate the core technology of motion control for two axis vertical edm machine is described in detail.Through the research on the existing technology,this subject successfully verified the feasibility of Android for the motion control of WEDM.Combined with the characteristics of WEDM cutting,the upper computer can realize the CAD drawing function,and at the same time use Bluetooth communication technology to realize information interaction with the lower computer hardware;the lower computer part completes the control of the lower computer motion hardware with the STM32 chip as the core,and G-code collection Analysis,interpolation,trajectory planning,stepper motor drive functions in one.At the same time,the relevant expansion interfaces are reserved in the upper and lower computers in order to achieve a more comprehensive control function of the WEDM.
