Chrysanthemum,a dicotyledonous angiosperms of Chrysanthemum in Compositae.It has been clearly recorded that Chrysanthemum can be used in both medicine and food in the past dynasties,and has many efficiencies such as dispersing wind and clearing heat,clearing eyes and liver,relieving pain and inflammation.The analysis of chemical composition indicated that Chrysanthemum was rich in sugar,flavonoids,lutein,amino acids and other nutrients.On the basis of semi bionic aqueous two-phase extraction technology,the extraction and purification of triterpenoids,flavonoids and polysaccharides from royal Chrysanthemum were studied in the present study.Moreover,two functional foods for lowering blood lipid were developed.The main results are as follows:1. Research on semi-bionic extraction technologyThe semi bionic extraction technology of polysaccharides,total flavonoids and triterpenoids from royal Chrysanthemum was studied by investigating the effects of material liquid ratio,p H,and enzyme concentration on the extraction rate.Results showed that the optimum extraction conditions for triterpenoids were 1:20 of material liquid ratio,p H=5.0,and 2%of enzyme concentration;The optimum extraction conditions of total flavonoids were 1:20 of material liquid ratio,p H=5.0,and 2%of enzyme concentration;The optimum extraction conditions of polysaccharides were1:30 of material liquid ratio,p H=5.0,and 1.5%of enzyme concentration.Under these extraction conditions,the extraction rates of triterpenoids,flavonoids and polysaccharides were 3.69%,20.68%and 33.67%,respectively.2. Research on the technology of aqueous two-phase extractionOn the basis of cloud point titration,salting out point titration,and the phase equilibrium conditions of C2H5OH-?NH4?2SO4,the effects of ethanol content,ammonium sulfate content,p H and temperature on the extraction rate of royal Chrysanthemum polysaccharide,total flavonoids and triterpenoids were studied.The results showed that the highest extraction rate of polysaccharides?85.55%?was found when the p H was 9,extraction temperature was 40°C,the content of?NH4?2SO4was15%,and the content of C2H5OH was 30%;When the p H was 9,extraction temperature was 40°C,the content of?NH4?2SO4was 20%,and the content of C2H5OH was 40%,the extraction rates of royal Chrysanthemum flavonoids and triterpenoids were highest,reaching to 81.67%and 88.09%,respectively.3. Research on hypolipidemic activity of royal Chrysanthemum polysaccharideThe hypolipidemic activity of royal Chrysanthemum polysaccharide was studied by high fat diet-induced dyslipidemia mice.Results showed that the contents of TG,TC and LDL-C in serum were decreased in a dose-dependent of royal Chrysanthemum polysaccharide.Compared with the model group,the contents of TG,TC and LDL-C in the serum of mice treated with 80mg/kg.d were decreased by10.1%,38.8%and 7.9%,respectively.However,the content of HDL-C was increased by 5.9%,suggesting that polysaccharides from royal Chrysanthemum has a strong Strong hypolipidemic activity.4. Research on the functional soft candy of ChrysanthemumBased on the materials of royal Chrysanthemum polysaccharide,gelatin,maltitol and sorbitol,optimize experimental conditions,the optimum formula of functional soft candy of Chrysanthemum was determined as following:30%of royal Chrysanthemum crude polysaccharide,14%of glucose syrup,5%of gelatin and 0.3%of sour agent.Meanwhile,the hypolipidemic activity of functional soft candy of Chrysanthemum was studied by high fat diet-induced dyslipidemia mice.Compared with the model group,the contents of TC,TG and LDL-C were decreased by 18.22%,32.91%and 50%,respectively,while the contents of HDL-C was increased by51.16%.These results suggested that functional soft candy of Chrysanthemum had a good effect of lowering blood lipid.5. Research on the compound beverage of kudzu and royal ChrysanthemumBased on kudzu and royal Chrysanthemum water extract,sweetener and sour agent,and optimize the experimental conditions,a compound functional beverage of kudzu and royal Chrysanthemum was developed.The formula of compound functional beverage were as following:10%of kudzu water extract,24%of royal Chrysanthemum water extract,6%of sweetener and 0.2%of citric acid.The liquid beverage has the advantages of bright color,uniform state,unique aroma,soft taste,and suitable sour and sweet taste.It was found that the beverage could significantly reduce the contents of TG,TC,LDL-C and increase the contents of HDL-C.
