With the progress of human civilization and the development of social science and technology, the large-scale use of energy brings high-speed economic development to all countries and regions, but also causes serious damage to the environment of all countries and regions, and the large consumption of energy also leads to the unsustainable supply of resources. From the perspective of economics, energy is one of the important factors in the production process.Environment is the carrier of human survival and energy source. Therefore,in order to ensure the harmony between human and nature and the sustainable supply of energy, how to achieve the coordinated and sustainable development of economic growth, energy consumption and the environment is one of the important issues facing all countries.Hu-Bao-E-Yu urban agglomeration is located in the western region of China, which is rich in energy, mineral resources and human resources. Thanks to the inclination of national policies, the economic development of urban agglomeration has made remarkable achievements, but the problem of relying on resources to pull the economy is serious. With the development of time, the environmental problems caused by excessive consumption of resources are increasingly prominent. Therefore, under the guidance of the report spirit of the 19 th National Congress of the Communist Party of China, following the "five in one" overall layout, this paper explores the interaction between energy consumption, environmental pollution and economic growth of Hu-Bao-E-Yu urban agglomeration, which is essential to improve the utilization rate of energy consumption, reduce environmental pollution and promote high-quality economic development. This paper takes the energy consumption, environmental pollution and economic growth index of Hu-Bao-E-Yu urban agglomeration as the research object, summarizes the theoretical content and mechanism of relevant research literature at home and abroad by using the literature analysis method, which lays the theoretical foundation for this study, and describes the current situation of economy, energy and environment of urban agglomeration scientifically and objectively by using the descriptive statistics analysis method This paper uses SVAR model to analyze the interaction among economic growth, energy consumption and environmental pollution of urban agglomerations. The results show that: the energy consumption and environmental pollution of Hu-Bao-E-Yu urban agglomeration are the Granger cause of economic growth;the economic growth is the Granger cause of energy consumption, but not the Granger cause of environmental pollution;the energy consumption is the Granger cause of environmental pollution, but the environmental pollution is not the Granger cause of energy consumption;the economic growth and environmental quality deterioration of urban agglomeration will be accompanied by the energy consumption The increase of consumption is unsustainable. It is not feasible to control the deterioration of environmental pollution only by restraining economic growth and energy consumption.Based on this, combined with the normative research method, this paper puts forward the following countermeasures and suggestions:control the total amount of energy consumption, save energy and reduce emissions, restrain the deterioration of the environment at the source;strengthen technological innovation, improve the efficiency of energy utilization;government departments formulate relevant policies, adhere to green development, strive to improve the ecological environment, and achieve green and high-quality economic development.
