In recent years, the phenomenon of haze pollution occurs frequently, which not only affects People's Daily life and health, but also brings huge losses to China's economy. The governance of haze pollution has become a hot issue. It is of great practical significance to study the spatial spillover effects and social and economic factors of smog pollution in China.Firstly, based on the annual mean data of PM2.5 of 334 prefecture-level cities in China from 2001 to 2016,this paper has a basic understanding of the change trend and distribution characteristics of haze pollution in China through charts and other methods.Secondly,Stata and Geoda were used to analyze the spatial correlation of haze pollution in China. Finally,a spatial econometric model is constructed to make an empirical analysis of 254 prefecture-level cities in China. In the empirical study, the three models of spatial durbin model, spatial error model and spatial lag model are mainly selected. In order to prove the robustness of the benchmark regression, the robustness test will be carried out by replacing the spatial weight, the control variable and the explanatory variable. The results show that:?1?there is a significant positive correlation between haze pollution in China,in which the high-high concentration areas are mainly concentrated in the east and central regions of China, and the low-low concentration areas are concentrated in the west, northwest and southwest regions.?2?various socio-economic factors have a significant impact on haze pollution, among which there is a kuznets curve between economic development and haze pollution; There is a positive"N"type relationship between population size and haze pollution. The influence of technological innovation on haze pollution is mainly related to technology bias.Only green technological innovation can significantly reduce haze pollution.Other social and economic factors, including energy consumption, transportation and industrial structure, have a certain"contribution"to haze pollution.?3?due to the significant differences in haze pollution problems in different regions, the government should adopt environmental control according to local conditions; At the same time, considering the spatial spillover effect,it is necessary to strengthen the joint prevention and control capability outside the city and carry out management across the region together. The significant influence of various social and economic factors also indicates that the haze pollution should be effectively treated by improving the economic structure within the city.
