| Scientific measurement and comprehensive evaluation of the development status of regional energy eco-efficiency are of great significance for formulating differentiated strategies to improve energy eco-efficiency and promoting the coordinated development of regional energy eco-efficiency.However,there are still some shortcomings in the existing research,such as the study of spatial correlation has not broken the limitations of geospatial space,failed to explore the inherent influence paths of influencing factors of energy efficiency,and so on.In view of this,this paper utilizes the super-efficiency SBM model based on undesired output to measure the energy eco-efficiency of various prefecture-level cities in Jiangsu Province from 2008 to 2017.Then,the VAR Granger causality test is performed to identify the spatial correlation of energy eco-efficiency among prefecture-level cities,and the social network analysis is used to explore the characteristics of the spatial correlation network of energy eco-efficiency in Jiangsu Province.Further,the absolute convergence and conditional convergence models are used to analyze the convergence trend of this Province as a whole and by region.Finally,the Malmquist-Luenberger index is utilized to dynamically measure and decompose the energy eco-efficiency in Jiangsu province,and an econometric model is established to further explore the influence mechanism that causes regional gap.Results show that: 1)in the evaluation of energy eco-efficiency,the overall level of energy eco-efficiency in Jiangsu Province is relatively high,and the overall gap first widens and then narrows.However,regional development is unbalanced,and the development gap between the southern and the central and northern will continue to widen.2)In terms of the spatial correlation of energy eco-efficiency,the spatial correlation network in Jiangsu Province is unevenly distributed,only Nanjing is at the center of the network.Meanwhile,the energy eco-efficiency can be divided into four plates,but there is less correlation between the plates,and the role of each plate has not been fully exerted.3)In terms of convergence of energy eco-efficiency,there are periodic convergence and absolute convergence of energy eco-efficiency in Jiangsu province and its sub-regions.Since 2012,the gap between different regions has been narrowing and the overall level has been improved.Conditional convergence exists in Jiangsu Province and its sub-regions,which means that development gaps between regions still exist.4)In terms of the influence mechanism of energy eco-efficiency,the energy eco-efficiency of Jiangsu province shows an increasing trend,and technological progress is the only driving force.There are regional differences in the factors affecting energy eco-efficiency.On the whole,the industrial structure and economic development level promote the energy eco-efficiency.In terms of regions,the industrial structure plays a promoting role only in southern Jiangsu,and the level of economic development only plays a promoting role in northern Jiangsu.The influence mechanism of energy eco-efficiency is also different in regions.The overall improvement path of Jiangsu province and southern Jiangsu is single,which is realized by boosting technological progress through industrial structure.The central and northern Jiangsu have diversified promotion paths.The central can increase technological efficiency through industrial structure,urbanization and technological level,and boost technological progress through economic development level;the Northern can increase technological efficiency through the industrial structure,and can also advance technological progress through the level of urbanization.It can be seen that the overall level of energy eco-efficiency in Jiangsu Province during the study period is relatively high and showing an increasing trend,and the overall development gap has narrowed.However,there are still many problems.Firstly,the overall spatial correlation network is not evenly distributed,and the correlation between plates needs to be strengthened.Secondly,the development gap of energy eco-efficiency of each region still exists and is expanding.Finally,at present,only technological progress is the driving factor of growth,and the role of technological efficiency has not been played.Therefore,this study puts forward relevant suggestions from the following aspects: constructing cross-regional communication and cooperation mechanism,establishing incentive and restraint system,implementing differentiated improvement measures,coordinating and promoting the improvement of technological efficiency and technological progress,so as to provide effective reference for the coordinated improvement of energy eco-efficiency in Jiangsu province. |
