The Research On Protection Strategies Of Modern And Contemporary Historical Architecture In Changsha

In the meantime,safeguarding urban historical architecture is of great significance from the perspective of inheriting and carrying on Chinese prominent cultural tradition,and investigating the historical growth of our national and ethnical politics,society,economy,thinking,culture,arts and engineering expertise.In 1982,the State Council issued the notification of the Protection of Famous Historical Cities.In terms of national famous historic cities,we should fully save and exalt their inherent historical and cultural features in the process of urban modernization,which can all be integrated in an organic and meaningful way.Changsha City belongs to the first batch in the stated list of national famous historical and cultural cities.Contemporary historic buildings amount to be crucial carriers of the city's history and culture.Hence,their protection and utilization have attracted huge attention from unban administers and even the whole city.Municipal government of Changsha has reinstated in their endeavors of protecting architecture and relevant research that users or owners of the listed historic buildings should be the primary consumers and superintendents of the project and the renewed architecture.In line with ordinances and laws stated in Conservation Regulations,they shall employ these buildings accordingly and properly in order to assure that historic architecture are strictly preserved utilizing.Daily in,specific working process,the government has taken a series of scientific and applic able measures,such as legally application of listing labels to protect modern historic constructions,and the works on coordinating the connections between city developme nt and constructions.The actions also include the enhancement of the communication and interaction with related departments,and the involvement of the citizens,etc.Al 1 these measures are believed playing critical role of protecting our city's historical an d cultural?Since 2007,the author has been engaged in the identification and protection of t he near modern historical buildings in Changsha,and personally participated in the fi rst,second,and third batches of near modern historical building research.The paper based on this background,by virtue of collecting and comparing international and national mechanisms and approaches of protecting historical and cultural architecture,this thesis attempts to analyze and expound,in the urban evolution,that maintaining historic shimmers of cities featuring historic buildings are pivotal.In this era,evaluating civic construction from the angle of sustainable development is converging.The preservation and deployment of historic cities,blocks and buildings at home and abroad are witnessing different and identical methods and effects.Via seeking disparities,demerits and reasons in historical and cultural preservation in Changsha City,and even the whole country,and displaying scenarios in famous historic city protection by city managers,this thesis aims to come up with strategies for future improvements and optimization.
