The Modern Architectural Research Of Wuhan And Changsha From The Perspective Of Cultural Routes

Early modern times of China is a complicated and diverse society.With reality of the semi-colonial and semi-feudal society in Modem China.native urban style and traditional culture was heavily impact on the foreign cultures.Under the conflict and integration of Chinese and Western culture,the city presents the characteristics of diversification,transformation and variation.To be different with lots of researches which pointing on the architecture culture of coastal city,our researches are more focusing on the inland cities'.In this paper,we take the Modem architecture of Wuhan and Changsha as our research objective,trying to digger out the characteristics of architecture under the complexity social context.The theories of cultural routes are quite suitable as our way of thinking when reviewing the research with a view of history studies.What's more,as the same time to show the multiple features and unique quality of Architectural Culture,we try to enrich the theory of relationship of Architectural Culture and the diversity in modern China.Firstly,we reference the theories of cultural routes and use to sum up three infiltration modes between different types of culture,including changes of the floating population,evolution of traffic and religious activities in modem time.Secondly,we describe the process of city development,formation and interaction of assimilating China and foreign cultures from those three modes.In comparing with Changsha with Wuhan,we mainly focused on the difference of presentation,interaction under the influence of foreign culture.Based on the Architectural of those two cities,we divide them into three types of functional architecture,including religious architecture,residential architecture and educational architecture.Then we describe the development process of culture from collision to fusion through and sum up characteristics and cultures of different types of architectures.In Summary,four characteristics are given in this paper to summarize the cultures of Wuhan and Changsha because of the development of modern architecture has always been influenced by Chinese traditional culture.Meanwhile,the theories of cultural routes are used to demonstrate the differentiation and diversity in between Wuhan and Changsha's architecture.
