As a typical digital product development method,reverse engineering greatly shortens the product development period,improves the precision and is an important way to create and develop a new product by digesting and absorbing advanced technologies.Carrosserie as an important component of the car,with the feature that thin material,complex shape,large size structure and requires high surface quality,which is the one of the most important determinants of the overall performance and appearance,and the design and manufacture of the carrosserie is the key of the entire development process of the car,largely determines the development cycle and cost.Therefore,in this paper,take the reverse design of the body surface based on the reverse engineering,combine the curve surface fairing theory and surface model stamping simulation technology and make the comprehensive analysis and evaluation about surface model reconstruction.The research supplies theoretical and technical support in shortening the development cycle of the body,reducing production costs and improving the quality of body surface.This paper first introduces the reverse engineering technology and research status at home and abroad,then expounds the surface digital technology,data preprocessing technology and surface reconstruction theory.This paper uses ATOS optical 3D scanner and the FARO laser measurement arm to get the body original point cloud,and the best point cloud should be obtained through noise reduction,simplifying,data repairing and chunking.Followed by body surface reverse design,the outer surface of the body is divided into several large surface blocks with each reverse design idea,give the description to create important features and the last analysis and evaluation.The engine hood as the representative body component,this paper select the surface model to optimize.Establish the smoothing model in accordance with the theory of curves and surfaces and smoothing criteria,and then make sure the model quality is good through the accuracy analysis and smoothness analysis.Take the sheet metal forming numerical simulation analysis for smoothed surface of the engine hood based on the analysis of sheet metal forming theory and forming simulation software,through debugging the process parameters,obtains the correct mold design and provides a good guiding role.In this paper,through the reverse design of the body surface and the optimized analysis,combined with the finite element analysis technology and confirmed the designed surface quality.
