For belt conveyor has the features of simple structure,low manufacturing cost,large carrying power and easy maintenance,it has been widely used in the production of coal mine.In the transport process of the belt conveyor,out-break is frequently occurred by the long-time and high-load operation.Then the destruction of the belt conveyor frame and roadway will likely take place.Therefore,the implementation of break protection is very necessary.Based on the problem of complex structure,small arresting force,less protection function,tiny catching area and possible second-damage in the break protection device,a break protection device with hydraulic drive is proposed in the paper.The device has the merits of simple structure,high strength,reasonable force and the whole arrest,the asynchrony by the multi-point arrest can be avoided.Besides,the friction blocks use the wedge blocks which can lock the conveyor belt easily.The main research contents:firstly,this paper begins with the analysis of transport mode and dynamic model of the belt conveyor,it can supplies theoretical basis for the later design.Secondly,the mechanical system,hydraulic system and electrical control system of broken belt protector is designed on the basis of theoretical analysis.Thirdly,based on the finite element method,the whole frame of t protection device is made the statics analysis by using ANSYS,contact analysis is made on the contact part between the friction block and the tape.Besides,parameter optimization of the friction block structure is provided,and the optimum solution of the friction block is found out.Then,the analysis of dynamics simulation is made in belt-broken protection device by using the ADAMS,and get the dynamic characteristics.Finally,the industrial test is put forward,and the protection device is produced out.This device has been applied in Henan coal mine.The research results show that:the device has reasonable structure and reliable performance,it can meet the needs of break protection.In the process of industrial test,the device meets the requirements of safety and practicality,and achieves good results.
