Energy-saving and emission-reduction is Chinese response to the global climate change,and also Chinese urgent demand to the change of the extensive mode of economic developmentand the achievement to the "new normal" economy.Building energy conservation has been acknowledged to be one of measures that iseffective and with huge potential,and building envelope energy conservation as to external wall energy conservation is the key of building energy conservation.In this paper,the advantages and disadvantages of different thermal insulating materials and insulation system conformationwidely used in China.Based on the above,external wall thermal insulation systemswith pluggable EPS module and their technical characteristics are introduced,including five systems and their materials. The partition wall system is presented either.Through comparative analysis and analog computation,the performances of technique and economic of the five external wall thermal insulation systemswith pluggable EPS module are studied.The conclusions are as follows:external wall paste system with EPS module overcomes the cracking and dropping problem of the external thermal insulation composite system and extends the life of the external wall paste system.Theconstruction technology of external thermal insulation system of cast-in-place concrete with EPS modules is easier than EPS board with metal networkinsulation system of cast-in-place concrete.The project cost is much lower if the external wall insulation system of cast-in-place concrete is used inframe-shearwall structure building,and the cost of insulation system with metal network(sandwich thermal insulation system of cast-in-place concrete with EPS module) is higher than that of insulation system without metal network.The thermal insulation system of cast-in-place concrete with cavity EPS module has high qualities in seismic and insulation performances,and the cost of it is no higher than other technologies.The land would be greatly saved if the cavity EPS module system is used to build agricultural greenhouse,but the wall's thermal inertia index is lower.The technical performances and service function of the building constructed in industrial building thermal insulation system of EPS module with frame structure and thermal insulation system of light steel structure is better than that build in double skin metal faced insulating panels,but with obvious cost disadvantage.
