Forklift truck is an important material handling machinery.With the enhancement of environmental protection awareness and energy awareness,electric counterbalanced forklift truck is playing an important role increasingly.But due to its high energy consumption and poor mobility,the range of its use is severely limited.And this is one of the problems that need to be solved urgently in forklift truck industry.The steering mechanism is the core component of the forklift,its performance directly affects the truck's energy and mobility.Therefore,it is of great significance to analyze and study the steering mechanism of the electric counterbalanced forklift truck.The dissertation carried on the structure design,kinematics simulation and mechanical properties research of a forklift steering mechanism according to its force,steering angle and stability.Then the prototype was manufactured and tested.The main work and achievements are as follows:Based on the basic steering mechanism,the influence of steering force characteristics,steering characteristics and stability were analyzed,and the solutions of factors were given.Several kinds of overall design scheme were proposed and then compared after the solutions'synthesis.finally,on the basis of the determined solution geometric model is built up.The spatial mathematical model of steering mechanism was constructed,and the formula of the steering resistance torque was given.The parametric model of forklift steering mechanism was established by using ADAMS.Analysis of kinematics simulation and dynamic simulation were done according to tie rod force,error and size of inner rotation angle,then the multi-objective optimization design was conducted in Insight and basically meeting the design requirements.The strength and stiffness of the key components of the steering mechanism under different working conditions are checked.According to the results of the analysis,the proper methods were taken to optimize and improve the mechanism,and the remaining interference problem was solved.Considering the stress characteristics of the steering knuckle,the fatigue analysis of the steering knuckle in DesignLife was carried out with the random load under the road roughness and the pulsating cyclic loads under the dangerous conditions.The forklift truck model was established in the virtual prototype,and the overall stability of the forklift truck was researched according to the national standard.The prototype was made and assembled on the forklift truck.According to the relevant testing standards and design requirements,energy saving test,turning radius test and strength test ware carried out and satisfactory results were obtained.Through the study of the structure design,simulation optimization analysis and mechanical properties of the forklift steering mechanism and the exploration of how to eliminate or reduce the interference,build up the mathematics model,to obtain the time history of load and other key issues,the dissertation lays the foundation for further research.
