Power grid is one of the most important city infrastructures,Electric power level is one of the important indicators to measure the economic development of the city.Sentific and proper power grid planning can obtain good social and economic benefits.Although after years of development,great progress has been made on city power grid,there are still many problems so far,such as the frequent fluctuations of the power load,the fragility of the grid structure,the instability of the power supply,the high losses of the power lines,aging euipment,non universal automation,power quality not high.These make it a big gap with the country’s target to establish a secure smart power grid.Therefore,it is imperative to make a reasonable power grid planning and carry out the construction and renovation accordingly.Xiamen Island is defined as A+ Base on the research of Xiamen Island’s regional power grid planning design and take one of the districts as the example to do the planning can be the constructive reference of future distribution network planning of the island.The distribution network planning in this article,designated as urban medium voltage 10kV distribution network planning.First of all,this paper introduces some basic knowledge of urban power grid planning and the design process of power grid planning.Then a systemic study is made on the methods of power load forecasting and power grid planning.Thereinto,the power load forecasting priors to power grid planning.Only when the distribution and size of the future power load is fixed,the decision variables such as the investment capacity and location of the substation,the route line,type,capacity,investment and installation time of equipment can be planned effectively.The result of power load forecasting directly affect the power grid planning program.Based on the analysis of the popular power load forecasting method on engineering,an unestablished planning area of Xiamen Island is selected for the power load forecasting.The forecasted power load data of the area is obtained through the index methods of the power load density and the capita electricity consumption.And the results are verified to ensure the correctness of the data.This paper describes various conventional methods of distribution network planning.as well as distribution network planning and design objectives,structure planning conditions,wiring,electrical distribution facilities and equipment selection principles.Afterwards,the current situation of this area’s power grid is analyzed.For the 220kV/110kV substation,its current situation is also analyzed and the power supply planning is made.The medium voltage distribution network planning is made according to the power load forecasting results,this area’s land use index and development scale.The planning is also on the basis of the design principles of medium voltage distribution network engineering planning and the divisional planning method is applied.Finally,the capacity-load ratio and power supply reliability is analyzed to optimize the distribution network planning of the planning district.
