Research On Industrial Heritage Protection And Renewal Application From The Perspective Of Catalyst

With the decline of traditional industrial production and the upgrading of industrial structure,industrial heritage areas in cities have created a series of special problems that need to be resolved in terms of economic and social environment,including the protection of historical and scientific values of industrial heritage.The urgent need to solve environmental problems such as land pollution and the practical contradiction of idle land resources for rational reuse and redevelopment."Urban catalyzer" is a guiding method widely used in urban design.It advocates the use of new elements or small-scale changes to achieve the effect of activating the area without fully changing its own characteristics.The way of renewal of industrial heritage is affected by its own conditions.In addition to the noumenon of the heritage,the renewal of industrial heritage will have a huge impact on the economic,cultural,and social aspects of the city.This also corresponds to the “urban catalyst” theory.Therefore,this paper attempts to find the feasibility of the protection and renewal of industrial heritage through the application of urban catalyst theory and complete the revival of industrial heritage from economic,cultural,and social perspectives.The paper firstly studies the industrial heritage and urban catalyst theory,and then analyzes and discusses the feasibility of the application between them,and constructs a theoretical framework for the protection and renewal of industrial heritage from the perspective of catalysts.And pointed out that the industrial heritage protection and update the "five steps","three elements" of the use of methods and initiatives.The "five steps" means: selecting the angle of the catalyst,determining the original catalyst carrier,reshaping and activating the catalyst carrier,controlling and guiding the catalytic effect,and subsequent nurturing in the industrial heritage;"three elements" : space,function,and culture Catalyst strategy.Finally,taking the protection and renewal of the Xi'an Banpo International Art District as an example,based on the above application research,a specific strategy for the protection and renewal of Xi'an Banpo International Art Zone from the perspective of catalysts is proposed.This article hopes to use the analysis of the use of urban catalyst theory in industrial heritage to provide a good theoretical and practical basis for the protection and renewal of industrial heritage in China,and to promote the protection and renewal of heritage from the project,design,and operation period.The smooth progress was made.In addition,it also hoped to comprehensively summarize the numerous strategies and programs for urban renewal,and treated the “urban catalyst” as an efficient way to deal with the problems of urban development,and promoted the normal construction and long-term development of the city from a relatively broad perspective.
