Discussion On The Difference Of Industrial Heritage Protection And Renewal From The Perspective Of Urban Population

Developed countries began to pay attention to the protection and renewal of industrial heritage in the 1960 s.The establishment of the industrial system was not started in the 1950 s in China until the end of the century.Therefore,under the general trend of China’s economic transformation,the tertiary industry has gradually prospered,while the secondary industry has partially withdrawn from the historical stage.In the face of idle or abandoned industrial plants,different cities in China have different practices.Creative parks like Beijing 798 and Shanghai 1933 that have been renovated and rejuvenated with economic vitality and popularity,as well as the industrial exhibition hall of Baotou Northern Weapon Center,which has been transformed into an exhibition space representing local history and geographical indications,and old factories around the country that have been idle and useless.Compared with foreign countries,China started late in industrial structure adjustment and industrial heritage protection and renewal.At the same time,there are differences in different regions of China.On the surface,the source of the differences between various cities seems to be the different size of cities.Therefore,to study the definition of "big" and "small",the impact of city size on the protection and renewal of industrial heritage,and how to learn from relevant experience and strategies are issues that need to be considered and studied.Through the methods of interdisciplinary,literature research and field visit,this paper first combs the formation process of domestic industrial heritage and the main problems encountered in the process of protection and renewal;Secondly,it clarifies the method of city classification,and expounds the significance of using population scale to classify cities in the research;Then,11 representative cities are selected from cities of different sizes to study their characteristics and select specific examples,summarize the common points of cities of the same size,and compare the differences in the protection and renewal of industrial heritage between cities of different sizes;Finally,Huainan City is selected as an example to study the current situation of industrial heritage according to its urban scale,and put forward the corresponding transformation methods and strategies.The protection and renewal of industrial heritage is a subject covering a wide range of disciplines.The research from the perspective of cities of different sizes can provide a limited theoretical basis for the protection and renewal of industrial heritage in different cities in the future.Figure[58] Table[18] Reference[24]...
