The recoil mechanism was widely used on modern artillery, it’s essentially the equivalent of a buffer. It made the rigid structural elastic, so loads while artillery firing were greatly reduced, effectively improve the artillery power and maneuverability contradictions. But modern war need artillery system performance requirements continue to increase, such as high mobility while the increase of artillery power, achieve a smaller gun mount force, more stable recoil movement, shorter recoil cycle time, more simple and lightweight recoil devices. Traditional Recoil mechanism have a heavy quality, complex structure, reduced mobility, so we need to seek a new recoil system to replace the traditional recoil system.In the application background of artillery impact buffer in this paper, By adopting the combination of theoretical analysis and test simulation analysis design method, according to the design specifications, Designed a model can be used in an artillery resilient rubber buffer. Compared with the traditional artillery reverse recoil device, the buffer has a simple structure, smaller volume, lighter quality, cheaper price, more stable performance, stronger aging resistance, longer service life etc.This paper analyzed the traditional artillery and mortar recoil buffers firstly, select a single piston rod hole with clay buffer to combined with the use of artillery. According to the real-time change of elasticity cement material in the working process of the buffer, take its special use environment into consideration, Derivation the theoretical formulas of dynamic resistance in compression and recovery process. Further more, designed the structural parts of clay buffer and checked the strength of the major components. Then developed the experiment of samples for static test, dynamic pressure test, drop test, durability test, through the test overall judgment whether the resilient rubber draft gears are to buffer the technical performance index of the work environment requirements. Finally, according to the artillery reverse recoil device related theory, using the method of programming to design a simulated verification of the resilient rubber buffer.Results show that the design of the resilient rubber buffers used for artillery reverse recoil device system can effectively reduce the recoil resistance, thus to improve the stability of the artillery and firing accuracy. Proved the elastomer draft gear has good vibration and buffer, and satisfy the design indexes.
