The interface between vehicle information system and users is called Human Machine Interface(HMI).It is a medium for drivers to exchange information with cars,and its quality will affect the user experience and driving safety of drivers.But most of the car evaluation systems are based on the driving experience or safety level of the vehicle.There is rarely a user experience test focusing on the human-computer interface of the vehicle.Most of the test methods are subjective evaluation,and lack of objective data support.In recent years,touch-sensitive HMI has been popular,and there is a lack of comparative research on the advantages and disadvantages of touch-sensitive HMI and touch-tone HMI.Through consulting a large number of automotive user experience research data,we have summarized the most representative evaluation dimensions and evaluation methods,and established an effective Vehicle HMI user experience evaluation system.In the experiment stage,by selecting the most representative touch-sensitive HMI and touch-tone interactive HMI,we use the qualitative and quantitative evaluation method to compare the user experience difference of the vehicle touch-sensitive HMI and touch-tone HMI.This study draws the following conclusions:(1)The operation experience of touch-sensitive HMI is better than touch-tone HMI in complex tasks.For example in the navigation system operation tasks,the performance of touch-sensitive HMI are significantly better than the performance of the keystroke HMI in the task completion time,the number of operation paths,and the number of gaze points.The reason may be that the touch-sensitive HMI is more intuitive and clear in information display,and is closer to the current consumer habits of electronic consumer products,and users are easy to get started.The use of touch-tone HMI under simple tasks is better,such as the music module operation,because the traditional HMI's physical keys can be manipulated by touch and he sense of orientation,so that the driver's line of sight can be kept as much as possible in the context of the road.(2)In the actual driving environment,the driver's attention needs to be focused on the road to maintain the stability and safety of the driving.Because the t touch-sensitive HMI can not rely on the touch and the sense of orientation,the touch screen has a larger area and the information distribution is scattered,which leads to the larger area of the touch HMI visual search cable,and the more visual resources are occupied.Many of them have a great influence on the experience of the driver(3)The touch-sensitive HMI interface is simple,easy to operate,interactive way is more natural than touch-tone HMI,conforms to user's use habit,so it is more attractive to users,lower load on subjective experience,and better subjective experience.(4)The evaluation system proposed in this study has a good effect on the evaluation of HMI user experience.Through objective testing and subjective evaluation,we find the advantages and disadvantages of the existing HMI interface and provide effective research information for the designers.This research provides a comprehensive dimension and method for the evaluation of automobile HMI,which has important reference value for consumers and automobile manufacturers.
