Residence,as one of the important functions of the city,occupies a large proportion in urban construction.However,many independent living spaces have brought problems such as blocking the urban road network and dividing the city's functions.The contradiction between living space and urban development has been a problem that many cities in China need to face and urgently need to solve.In order to solve the problem of the layout of traffic networks and promote land conservation and utilization,the “Opinions of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China and the State Council on Further Strengthening the Management of Urban Planning,Construction and Management” issued in February 2016 pointed out that in promoting the block system,in principle,no closed residential areas will be built.The completed residential quarters and unit complexes should be gradually opened to achieve the internalization of internal roads.In recent years,contradictions between residential areas and traffic have also gradually emerged in Jinan.The chaotic settlement patterns and traffic congestion have seriously affected the development of the city.Therefore,in order to ease the pressure of transportation in Jinan,increase the vitality of urban space and optimize the spatial layout of cities,it is necessary to open up the study of residential areas.In order to solve the contradiction between residential areas and urban areas,relevant scholars started from various aspects such as space design,traffic optimization,vitality building,and residents' interests,and conducted research on the openness of residential areas.However,most of the studies are a summary of the drawbacks of closed residential areas and the advantages of open residential areas.They also propose relevant strategies for the opening of residential areas in combination with actual cases.Therefore,based on the assessment of residential open potential and the simulation of settlement opening,the paper uses the current residential area in Jinan as a research case to expound the evolution process of residential areas in Jinan,and chooses to study the residential areas.Afterwards,potential evaluation and simulation were conducted through the openness of residential areas,and corresponding open strategies were finally proposed for the area and residential areas.The purpose of this article is to sort out the development of residential areas in Jinan,explore the characteristics of open residential areas,and provide reference methods and strategies for the opening of various types of residential areas,in order to solve the contradictions between residential areas and cities and urban transport problems.The paper firstly takes the time as the axis,summarizes the development of the Jinan urban area and the evolution of the residential area,and sorts out the settlements in Jinan.Afterwards,the method of selecting plots and settlements was specified,and the specific influencing factors that should be taken into account in the selection of plots and settlements were determined.From the large scale to small plots to residential plots,various influencing factors were analyzed,and finally nine were selected.Districts and settlements.The nine districts are at different stages of development and different commercial districts,with different population densities and different degrees of integration.The research case is a representative settlement further selected from the study area.The construction age,land area,population density,road network form,and settlement type of the nine settlements studied vary.Secondly,through the combination of AHP and ArcGIS,the open potential of the residential area is taken as the overall goal,and weights are calculated through three factors: regional traffic,various facilities,and the interior of the residential area to construct a residential area open potential evaluation system.Then the relevant data of various evaluation indicators are entered into ArcGIS,and the potential of the residential area is visualized after superimposing various evaluation indicators,and the open potential of the residential area is more intuitively understood.Again,DepthMapX software was used to build three different model axis models before and after the opening of the settlement.All settlements in the simulation area are enclosed,single-opened and studied,and the roads within the area are jointly opened in the three states.The spatial syntactic analysis is used to interpret the degree of integration and depth of different road networks,and the simulation results are analyzed.Point out the open mode that different settlements should choose.Finally,based on the types of districts and settlements selected and the conclusions of the study,the three open strategies of joint opening,selective opening,and non-opening are proposed for the districts,while for the settlement districts,the interior is completely open,the original open status,and the settlement roads are maintained.Selectively open and maintain the original open status four open strategies.
