A Medical Building Energy Consumption Analysis And Energy-saving Resconstrction In Hunan Province

Energy is the basis of the high speed growth of our country's economy.In recent years,the shortage of energy has greatly restricted the development of China's economy.At the present stage,90%of new buildings which can't meet the national specifications or standards have great potential in energy saving.The medical building with large scale and multi functions is one of the most energy-consuming of public buildings.The annual energy consumption of air conditioning system in the medical building is 1.6-2.0 times of the office's,therefore,the energy saving to existing medical building is particularly important.Taking a 2 A grade hospital in Yongzhou in Hunan Province as an example,the energy consumption data of the hospital in recent three years were investigated in this paper.And the main energy-consuming equipment in the hospital was counted to analysis the monthly electricity consumption and energy consumption structure of the hospital.The annual energy consumption per unit area is 206 kWh/(m~2·a)and the total electricity consumption per bed is 5245kWh/(bed·a),which is 4 times and 1.5 times the energy consumption quota of the same scale and the same type of other medical buildings in Hunan province,respectively.Through the statistics of hospi tal for nearly a year's water-consumption,it was found that the hospital water usage exceeds the water quota limit.Based on the investigation above,many problems were discovered in the hospital in the aspect of the energy metering and management,air-conditioning system,water usage and so on.An energy-saving reconstruction scheme was put forward,including the redesign of air conditioning system,the design of fresh air system,the setting of meters and so on.The Designbuilder software is used to simulate the energy consumption of the inpatient department.Four energy-saving measures were simulated,and the energy-saving conditions were analysed.It is estimated that the energy-saving rate of the hospital will be 12.9%and that of water saving will be 13.98%.Through the analysis of the energy consumption of a 2 A grade hospital in Yongzhou city in Hunan Province,many problems were found in energy usage and water usage.An energy-saving scheme was put forward.This paper could provide some references for energy saving and water saving of medical buildings in similar areas.To a certain extent,it could promote the energy-saving and water-saving reconstruction of public buildings,especially medical buildings.
