From the primitive society of mankind to the agricultural society, the industrial society, until the information society today, every stage of civilization is based on the narrative of text and image. At the same time, every civilization change will make this kind of narrative ways to change and re-establish a new narrative model.Throughout the development of the history of art, whether it is written texts such as literature, movies, dramas, etc.,or space poetic texts such as music, paintings, pictures, architecture, etc.,it sorts out its internal logic through narrative methods.Communicate with the threedimensional architectural space is brought into a two-dimensional plane to express its meaning again.Under what background is the interpretation of the architectural image,it will produce different ways of interpretation and interpretation. Therefore, the article discusses and studies the interpretation and expression of architectural space through image narrative. The first chapter introduces the main status of domestic and foreign research on architectural photography. At present, there are no scholars in China who have conducted relevant research and introduction on the history of architectural photography. It is a blank in the field of architectural photography research.Based on a review of the development history of architectural photography, the author firstly summarized the four development stages and their respective characteristics of the architectural photography history.Based on this, the author discussed the theoretical and practical significance of the photographic narrative images of modern architecture. The second chapter studies the photographic school of typology, which has the greatest impact on the field of photography, including architectural photography, and summarizes the relationship between architectural typology and typology photography. The third chapter interprets and combs the "photograph of man-made changes-new topographic photography" as an extension of the new objective photography, which belongs to the category of new objective photography."New terrain" is the result of the influence of nature, time and space on the nature,in the political, economic, social, and cultural fields of mankind. These works unrendered the landscape of man-made change, trying to prevent viewers from generating nostalgic emotions, forcing viewers to stay in the moment and thinking about the future. The fourth chapter studies the language of architectural narratives and completes the whole narrative process by transferring the language of architectural narrative into photographic images.Architecture is different from painting, music, movies, etc. It is a three-dimensional or even multi-dimensional three-dimensional space environment formed by itself. The light and shadow convey the architectural atmosphere, the color conveys the memory of the building, the scale conveys the proportion of the building, and the material conveys the symbols of the buildings. These narrative languages together constitute the narrative of the architectural photographic images to complete the interpretation of the entire building and its space. The fifth chapter integrates the most influential narrative types in spatial design, communication and space, transparency, and site spirit into the photographic images for interpretation.Based on the related theories of architectural design, the narration method of architectural photographic images and the method of interpreting modern architectural space are established.
