Over the past decade,with the innovation of the construction technology of earth-rock dam and the application of new materials,the construction of high earth-rock dam in China is at the stage of rapid development.With the increase of the height of the dam,the safety of the earth-rock dam is also required higher.In order to improve the safety of earth-rock dam,numerical analysis should be carried out in the design process of earth rock dam,and the basic work of numerical analysis is modeling.The advantage of interactive modeling is its directly expression,and it can adapt to more complex model.But its disadvantage is that the creation process is complex,time-consuming,and not easy to modify.Therefore,it is necessary to find a 3D modeling method of high speed and high precision.Parametric modeling method can greatly improve the efficiency of modeling,especially in the sensitivity analysis of the parameters.In this paper,a parametric modeling method based on CATIA redevelopment is explored.Based on the analysis of earth-rock dam type,the idea of 3D modeling,section control method,is determined.Firstly by creating the control section,and then using the "lofting" tool to generate the entity between the sections,and finally complete the modeling of the earth-rock dam.The detailed process of 3D parametric modeling method based on CATIA redevelopment is as follows:First,the node coordinates of the earth-rock dam section are stored in the Excel form.Then,get the CATIA related API in the Visual Basic development environment with Excel.The CATIA redevelopment is carried out in Excel-VBA language,so as to establish the connection between characteristic parameters and 3D entities,and realize the function of 3D parametric modeling of earth-rock dam.Based on the 3D parametric modeling method of earth-rock dam proposed in this paper,three 3D models of earth-rock dam with different slope shapes are created,and applied to the deformation analysis of earth-rock dam.Through finite element analysis,the effect of slope shape on the deformation of the core wall and the contact clay is studied.The study shows,the displacement and deformation of the contact clay have a strong correlation with the slope shape,the bulge of bank slope on both sides of the river valley is beneficial to reduce the settlement of the core wall.
