Locomotive wheelset as an important part of the locomotive bears all the alternation load of the train.Because the wheel using cold process fitting and connected by interference fit.So,there will have wear and fatigue cracks and other damage in the wheelset assembly process.At the same time,the wear and fatigue cracks and damage will affect the quality of press fit and then cause fatigue damage,reduce the fatigue life of the wheel,finally,affect the safety of railway transportation.Round the modification study on the contact surface is based on the characteristics of the wheel to the installation process and the problem of stress concentration to modification the wheelset.The ultimate is to improve the fatigue life of the wheel set,So this topic has actual engineering practical value.Firstly,according to the characteristics of the wheel to the installation process,Round the pressed model are established based on the Pro/EENGINEER,the 3D modeling software.then use those model to carry out finite element analysis.According to the result of finite element simulation based on ABAQUS to analyze the quality of the contact surface of wheelset.The finite element results show that existence of offset deviation and partial load is an important reason for damage of wheel installation process.In this paper,use the logarithmic technique to improve the effect.According to the difference of the shape of the repair,three curves are given in this paper,then use the ABAQUS to carry out the pressing process of three pairs of curves and do finite element analysis.By comparing the three schemes of the change of contact stress and equivalent stress analysis shows that Installation quality has improved and effectively reduce the edge effect.Finally,find the best repair scheme according to the results of the three modification scheme.Therefore,the research results of this paper has both academic value and great application value to improve the fatigue life of locomotive wheelset.
