Study On The Design Of The Transformation Of Old Industrial Factory Building Into Dining Space

With the development of the city and the evolution of industrial revolution,the extensive industrial production activities and suburban production places were being incorporated into the central business district of the new city.Along with the demand of industrial upgrading and urban activities,the old industrial production activities gradually migrating outward,which left us with the basically completed old industrial factory plant.Based on this circumstance,a comprehensive modification of old factory buildings were begun.By replacement of its functions,old factory buildings,which were unused in the city are now being transformed into exhibition space,office space,commercial space,etc.And among these,dining space is quiet common.First of all,this paper based on the transformation of old industrial buildings,setting the background,significance and reasons as starting points and dining space as target to analyzes its advantages for transformation.Second,this paper analyze,compare and study some practical cases of transformation of present old industrial factory building into dining space,and find the common problems that exist in transformed dining space.Third,this paper summarizes the design principles of the transformation of old industrial factory building into dining space through the arrangement of the former contents and analysis of relevant theories,and expounds its design principles and design methods in detail.Fourth,this paper demonstrates the feasibility of the former content through the concrete application of these principles and methods in practical cases.Fifth,through a great deal of researches,this paper puts forward the development trend of dining space,as well as the prospects of researchers of the thesis of similar transformation activities.Based on this research,the writer guarantees the feasibility of the article by extensive document reading,practical investigation of typical cases and summary of relevant design practice.The writer hopes to provide a beneficial exploration for the indoor design project of similar dining space.
