Research On Establishment Of Competitive Advantages In International EPC Projects Of Energy China

EPC(Engineering Procurement Construction)contracting model puts forward higher requirements for the general contractors,which is an important mode of international engineering contracting and gradually developed into one of the most popular contracting modes.In recent years,with the gradual saturation or even shrinking of the domestic power industry,Chinese Electric Engineering Enterprises have shifted the market development into a vast international market.With the promotion of "Going Global”and "Belt and Road" policies as well as the further improvement of policies and regulations related to international engineering contracting,Chinese Electric Engineering Enterprises have created good opportunities for the market of oversea EPC projects.Due to the short time of EPC mode bringing in our country and carrying out international EPC contract,meanwhile the international market is different from the domestic market,where is the more complex and changeful market environment and competition situation,how can we make strength competition from many players to obtain the EPC project and ultimately to deliver high quality,high security products and services for owners and local residents with satisfaction,to improve the international reputation and competitiveness of enterprises,which are difficult problems in front of all the Chinese electric engineering enterprise and needs further research.Based on the basic theory of competitive advantage establishment,this article uses SWOT model to analyze the advantages,disadvantages,opportunities and threatens of Chinese Electric Construction Enterprises in oversea EPC projects.Taking China Energy Engineering Group as an example,make empirical analysis on the practice of enhancing the competitiveness of oversea EPC projects built by Chinese Electric Construction Enterprises,meanwhile,summarize the experiences and lessons learned from the development of oversea EPC projects of China Energy Engineering Group.The international competitive advantage diamond model is used to propose the construction of competitive advantages of oversea EPC projects of Chinese Electric Engineering Enterprises Strategic approach.
