Research On The Improvement Of Procurement Management Of A Company’s Electric Power Engineering Project

Nowadays,the power engineering field is already completely open to the market,which is no longer a monopoly industry field.Thus,for power construction enterprises,the project itself represents the profit point of the enterprise.The previous sloppy project procurement management will undoubtedly increase the project cost,leading to a decline in the overall project profit.Therefore,it is necessary to be improved.The current procurement mode of Company A’s power projects is relatively simple,and the procurement plan is mostly made in accordance with the procurement experience of previous projects.At present,the domestic electric power engineering construction project department has not yet formed a fixed molding procurement system.Project procurement still follows the original procurement mode of inquiry,comparison,and purchase.The single procurement mode makes procurement prices go up and down,and the company can’t make effective responses in accordance with the material costs in the market.Besides,the quality of procured materials and the selection of qualified suppliers can’t be effectively ensured and most of the project procurement is based on price.More often,the relationship between price and quality is ignored.Thus,there are many problems with the current power project procurement system in the company.In this paper,the problems of procurement management in the power project department of Company A were studied and the procurement management of the project department was optimized through comparative analysis,qualitative analysis,literature analysis,and interview survey.The analysis and research were carried out about the formation of the procurement implementation team,the optimization of the procurement process,the improvement of supplier management and the preparation and demonstration of the procurement plan,etc.In accordance with the actual situation of the company’s Project Department and the characteristics of the power engineering project itself,a series of rectifications and optimization was carried out,improving the procurement management capability and accumulating valuable procurement experience for the Project Department in procurement activities.Finally,this paper took A Project as an example to study and analyze the advantages of improved procurement management capability.For the A Project,the improved procurement activities have shown advantages in various aspects.They have strengthened the professionalism of the procurement team,reduced the procurement cost of the Project Department,shortened the procurement process cycle,improved the management capability of suppliers,and provided valuable cases for the future procurement management of the project Department and the procurement management of the power construction enterprise.
