With the improvement of water conservancy infrastructure construction,it is a long-term trend to focus on management rather than construction,which will be a severe challenge for a water conservancy design company which belongs to the entrepreneurial small and medium-sized enterprises in the industry.The introduction of the whole process consultation documents,the amendment of the bidding law,the institutional reform of the competent departments,and the transformation of the whole industry and institutions into enterprises mean that the game rules and competitors in the past have changed greatly.A water conservancy design company is small in size,and its talent,capital and technical reserves are relatively insufficient.How to deal with the complex and changeable competitive environment,how to deal with the changes actively,how to strengthen the existing core competitiveness and win the long-term competitive advantage,and how to formulate the competitive strategy to adapt to the changes of the environment are of great significance to a water conservancy design company.This paper takes A water conservancy design company as the research object,based on the relevant theories of enterprise strategic management,and on the basis of introducing the current situation of enterprise development,analyzes the macro environment,industry environment and competitors.Finds out the opportunities and threats faced by the enterprises and the key success factors of the industry,and draws the conclusion that the water conservancy survey and design industry is still in a period of strategic opportunities with great potential and vast world,but also faces the severe challenges of slowing down investment growth,intensifying market competition and many contradictions.Through the analysis of internal environment,the resources and capabilities of the enterprise are clarified,and the advantages and disadvantages of the enterprise are found.On this basis,SWOT tools are used to make strategic positioning and selection of enterprises,and it is determined that enterprises are more suitable to adopt the focus strategy.By focusing on the region,regional market differentiation is provided to form the comparative competitive advantage of regional competition,and the competitive advantage of company a is positioned to respond quickly and provide high-quality comprehensive solutions for small and medium-sized projects.It also puts forward the short-term action plan and strategic implementation and safeguard measures,which provides a relatively complete competitive strategy for A water conservancy design company.At present,there is little research on the competitive strategy of Water Conservancy Design Institute and small and medium-sized design institutes in the academic circle.This paper not only has practical guiding significance for the competitive strategy of A water conservancy design company,but also has certain enlightenment for other water conservancy design institutes in the industry.At the same time,the competitive strategy determined by the research institute also provides a certain strategic thinking for small and medium-sized design institutes outside the industry,which has a certain reference value.
