Research On Decorative Art Of Doors And Windows In Lingnan Gardens

The doors and windows of South of the Five Ridges Garden not only satisfy the basic physical functions,but also are important means of space decoration.It has exquisite craftsmanship,various forms,unique shapes and bright colors,its formation and development of decorative art has highlighted the unique regional cultural genes of South of the Five Ridges,as well as occupying an important position in the traditional Chinese gardening art.Through studying the implication rules and characteristics of the decorative arts behind it,so as to better inherit the culture and doors and windows in garden decoration art essence of South of the Five Ridges,this article provides some useful ideas for the design of modern garden landscape.Through on-the-spot investigation of the South of the Five Ridges region and the combination of factors including geography,climate,humanistic thoughts and beliefs in this region,in the first three chapters,the most representative traditional shape and structure of doors and windows in the traditional gardens of South of the Five Ridges such as partitions and sash windows are taken as the breakthrough.Its material and technique,proportion and scale,motifs of ornamentation and color collocations have been systematically analyzed and summarized.In particular,systematic discussions are made on the subject matter and content of decorative motifs,creative ideas and aesthetic interests.And at this point,comparing with other garden schools(northern imperial gardens and gardens in south of the Yangtze River)decorative arts of doors and windows,summing up the differences between different schools.Then further starting from the basic decorative elements of point,line,surface and entity to summarize the basic combination rules and application characteristics of decorative motifs of doors and windows,as well as the reference value and significance of these concepts and laws to modern garden landscape design.In the fourth part of the article,it combines with the actual landscape design project for practical application exploration and analysis.The SD landscape evaluation method is applied to evaluate the landscape effect of the project,and further validated the effect of practical application,and summing up the experience of it,so as to provide certain reference for the modern architectural landscape design.Finally,the conclusions are drawn through the analysis and conclusion,and the further and deeper research on the decoration art of the doors and windows of South of the Five Ridges Garden is proposed to extend the exploration and prospect.
