Research On The Renewal Of Traditional Campus Space In The Context Of Spatial Fabric

Under the trend of enrollment expansion of national general colleges and universities,traditional colleges and universities have their unique charms as one typical category.The way to Renovate and renew the traditional campus space rationally is a problem that the School administrators,designers and scholars have been thinking about all the time.As a new discipline theory,space syntax explains space and its nature from a new perspective and thinking which provides a new platform for researching the renewal of traditional campus space.Based on the theoretical framework and core concept of spatial syntax,this study illuminates the advantages of applying spatial syntax to the renewal of traditional campus space and explores the ideas and methods of applying spatial syntax to the renewal of traditional campus space taking the theory of spatial syntax as a technical means.Firstly,this study determines the stages of campus space renewal and development,and builds the model,through the fabric analysis of the model,explores the spatial pattern change and the spatial logical structure characteristic of campus development objectively.At the same time,this study constructs the database of campus spatial structure on the basis of model,data and analyzed features,and guides the campus space from two aspects based on the spatial structure database.On the one hand,from the perspective of "static" control,this study evaluates the current situation of campus space,and finds the renewal problem and direction for the renewal and development of local campus space objectively.On the other hand,from the perspective of "dynamic" control,this study manages and selects the construction and development activities of campus renewal,analyses and compares the differences in the different plans to be reformed more intuitively,and the choice of the best.Based on the above theory structure,this paper illustrated by the case of Anhui Agricultural University as an example to analyze and verify the feasibility of space syntax renewal in traditional campus space.
