| Nowadays the improvement and perfection of traffic laws and regulations not only led to a more standardized and safe traffic,but restrict and approximate car appearance in a large extent.In such a situation,the exterior color of a car has become a key factor in highlighting the brand characteristics and personality of the users.The existing authoritative color trend analysis is still mainly based on the prediction of experts in International Commission for Color in Fashion and Textiles and the vast related data statistics.However,neither method is provided with universality,therefore both methods are difficult to be applied to the frequently updated models of automobile manufacturer.How to predict the development trend of the exterior color of the car in the target consumers and get the color priority?In this paper,the relevant research and discussion is conducted to the exterior color design of A-class car.First,this paper conducted exterior color summary and regularity analysis to the proprietary brand A-class cars,and exterior color statistics and trend analysis to the exhibition car.Secondly,surveys about consumers,perceptual image on the existing A-class car color samples is taken and the data is recovered.Based on PCA(Principal Component Analysis)of Kansei engineering,a large number of perceptual descriptive vocabulary for the exterior colors of A-class car were converted into a few words that cover most of the meanings,with the help of the idea of dimensionality reduction and SPSS data analysis.Then according to different consumers’ position,the arrangement of the color priority is conducted based on the relationship between color and perceptual vocabulary.Finally,the exterior color design practice of a self-owned A-class car is carried out.According to the former reference color trend analysis,the color scheme of the anticipated sample is designed and conducted the perceptual image survey.The color priority of the anticipated sample is obtained,based on Kansei Engineering as well,to guide the anticipated sample color design.This study,whose design is subjected in the consumers’ inclination,quantified the relationship between the sensibility and color and provided a simple yet reliable method of color design.During the process of application,enterprises can fill in any anticipated color and perceptual vocabulary and apply color development according to the color priority. |
