Coal is an important energy and chemical raw materials in China,the Chinese economy has achieved rapid development process with the related industries growing continuously.However,in recent years,the price of coal has declined and the Chinese government also proposed the national strategic goal of industrial upgrading,and traditional enterprises in the coal-related industries have also been affected.Intensified competition and increased customer demands have raised higher operational and management requirements for the coal auxiliary transport industry.Inventory cost is an important part of the company's cost.How to meet requirements of the production and sales and to reduce costs as much as possible is an important challenge for the company to surve and develop.K company,the object of the paper,is one of the leading enterprises in the coal auxiliary transportation industry.It belongs to the traditional manufacturing industry and is a small batch and multi-variety order production.It's two product categories,trackless vehicle and endless rope continuous towing vehicle,also occupy a considerable market share.Due to the traditional and flexible management methods and high timeliness requirements of customers,a large amount of backlogs of accessories have been generated in production,sales,and services,and a huge amount of capital has been used,which has caused a huge burden on the normal production and operation of enterprises.Firstly,this article summarizes the status quo and problems of K company in inventory management,applies qualitative analysis methods to analyze the existing problems in the inventory management of accessories,then puts forward the improvement measures in combination with the relevant inventory management theory.Secondly,this article uses ABC classification to classify the trackless vehicle accessories,distinguish important accessories and general accessories,and takes corresponding improvement measures for different classified accessories,by demand forecasting techniques,(R,S)models or other inventory management theory methods.Finally,this article proposes safeguard measures of management improvement strategies,to ensure this improvement measures can have better implementation effects,and hopes to solve the K company's inventory problems,reduce business costs,and improve efficiency.
