With the development of society and consumption level,the development of cultural and creative industry has become a measure of a national competitiveness.Faced to the wave of design globalization,how to make from "Made in China" to "Created in China",the present and future of Chinese design has been a controversial topic.The nostalgia of contemporary culture has been gradually reminiscent of time from the transformation of space thinking.Researching the history,the Republic of China was a social transformation era in Chinese society.It was not only the inheritor of traditional Chinese culture,but also the spreader of Western culture.This historical reason created the characteristics of highly respect for democracy and science at this stage,so the elements of this period have the Antique characteristics and retro characteristics.Firstly,by doing research on the cultural cognition of the elements of the Republic of China and by analyzing the performance as well as the connotation of the elements of the Republic of China,I find out that these elements still have the expression of "modernity".When the social and cultural background changed,because of their "modern" nature,they still represent symbols of cultural design on reading modern humans.The thesis analyzes and summarizes the concepts and the status of cultural and creative products,exploring suitable research methods and design framework,providing a theoretical basis for the research on cultural and creative products based on the elements of Republic of China.The difficulty of this research lies in how to transform reasonably the elements of the Republic of China and making the design proposal put to a diversified test.Secondly,based on the design of cultural and creative products,this thesis carries on some elements of the Republic of China meanwhile innovate boldly.In addition to this,it also integrates many contemporary elements to redesign cultural and creative products.Then,it explores how these elements are used to the design of contemporary cultural and creative products.Lastly,using the framework of cultural and creative product design based on the innovation of the Republic of China’s elements,the thesis will put its emphasis on completing a practical case of cultural and creative products based on Republican elements to verify the feasibility of the design framework.The difficulties of research is how to transform the elements of the Republic of China,as well as the diversified experimental attempts of the design scheme.Lastly,using the framework of cultural and creative product design based on the innovation of the Republic of China’s elements,Completing a case of cultural and creative product based on Republican elements,to Verify the feasibility of the design framework.
