As a large-scale sightseeing amusement equipment,the Ferris wheel contains hugemarket potential.In the future,more giant flexible Ferris wheels will be built in the future at home or in the world.The Ferris wheel structure,which is located in a natural environment,has been subjected to temperature changes throughout the year,solar radiation and sudden cooling.As the structure of the Ferris wheel becomes larger and larger,the structural form becomes more and more complex,considering the larger overall structure of the Ferris wheel,the huge load brought about by the temperature effect has become a kind of important load that cannot be ignored in the design and construction.Based on the large full-flexible Ferris wheel of the height of 190 meters as the research object in the paper and analyzes the effect of temperature effect on the structural performance of the Ferris wheel through the finite element analysis method based on ANSYS.The main works of this paper are as follows:(1)The development of the Ferris wheel,the working principle,the development status at home and abroad,and the current research status of the temperature effect are introduced in this paper.Then the basic structure and basic parameters of the Ferris wheel structure studied in this paper are introduced.Based on its structural characteristics,a reasonable finite element model is established.Some important loads and corresponding loading methods are determined,especially focused on analyzing various temperature loads.(2)The finite element static analysis of the influence of the annual temperature difference and the sunshine temperature load on the structure of the Ferris wheel is carried out.Then analyzed and compared the tension of the spokes,the maximum stress of the key parts and the maximum deformation of the Ferris wheel structure,which verify the structural is reasonable.In addition,the change law of support reaction with temperature is also summarized.The stability analysis shows that the eigenvalues have also decreased under the sunshine temperature.(3)This article intentionally analyzes the modal analysis by effect of temperature effects on the structure of the Ferris wheel.From the analysis of the influence of the annual temperature difference on the structural mode,it can be known that as the temperature increases,the frequency of each order will decrease,and this change is not great.Considering the effect of solar radiation,the frequency of each order will decrease accordingly.But the temperature effect does not change the specific mode shape of the Ferris wheel structure.(4)The sudden cooling is analyzed in this paper taking working condition I as the initial state under the action of sunshine temperature.The temperature distributions of the supportcolumn and the support shaft of the Ferris wheel are calculated and displayed at some moments.The calculation results of those moments in the whole process are analyzed in detail.It is found that the impact of sudden cooling load on the structure of the Ferris wheel is still quite obvious,for example,the maximum stress of No.1 support pillar increased by34.3MPa during the process.This paper takes the example of the Ferris wheel under construction as background,analyzes and calculates the structure of the Ferris wheel through the FEM,completes the analysis of the influence of temperature effect on the structure,which can provide reference for the design and optimization of the Ferris wheel structure.In addition,the analysis methods and ideas of this paper has a good reference value for the design and optimization of similar structures.
