Cellular automata theory,as a classical theory,is widely used in the field of transportation.The simulation model established by this theory is a meso simulation tool in the traffic field.The accuracy and complexity of the simulation are between the macro simulation and the micro simulation,which is suitable for the study of urban traffic.At present,the research on the intersection of cross and T-shaped intersection has more mature and obtained a lot of results.However,the application of this theory in the field of K-shaped intersection is still needed to be improved.In this paper,the cellular automata model of K-shaped intersection was established by this theory,and the numerical simulation and analysis of K-shaped intersection were carried out by the established model.First,the theory of cellular automata are analyzed and summarized.The definition in different fields,composition and characteristics of cellular automata are analyzed and summarized.The classical cellular automaton models are analyzed and summarized.And the cellular automata models of cross intersection and T-shaped intersections are analyzed and summarized.Second,the characteristics of K-shaped intersection are analyzed and summarized.The geometric characteristics,running characteristics and the relationship between the driving speed and the cross angle of the K-shaped intersection are analyzed and summarized.The traffic flow lines and conflict points in the K-shaped intersection are also analyzed and summarized.The cellular automata model of K-shaped intersection is established.It bases on the classical cellular automata theory and the traffic characteristics of K-shaped intersection that the cellular automata model of K-shaped intersection is established by using the computer platform.The establishment of the model is divided into four parts: The first part,it mainly bases on the classical NS model to establish the running rules of vehicles on the road before entering the intersection;The second part,it establishes the vehicle operation rules of the traffic signal light in front of the parking line,it mainly establishes the corresponding operation rules on whether the signal light is red or green before the vehicle enters the intersection;The third part,the rules for the operation of vehicles inside the intersection are established.The vehicles entering the intersection are divided into through vehicles and turning vehicles.The through vehicles are established basing on the classic NS model.The turning vehicles' rules of different speed are established according to the intersection angle.The fourth part,the rules of vehicle running after exiting the intersection is established,which are based on the classic NS model.After the above four parts,the model of K-shaped intersection cellular automata is established.The numerical simulation and analysis of K-shaped intersection is carried out.The angle of K-shaped intersection is divided into two situations: greater than 45° and less than 45°,the average delay and volume of intersection are simulated under these two conditions by using the cellular automata model of K-shaped intersection,and the simulation results are analyzed respectively.In addition,the results are compared and analyzed in two cases,and the relevant conclusions were obtained.In this paper,it bases on the classical cellular automata theory and the traffic characteristics of K-shaped intersection that the cellular automata model of K-shaped intersection is established by using the computer platform,the numerical simulation and analysis of K-shaped intersection are carried out,and the relevant conclusions are obtained.The establishment of the model improved the application of cellular automata theory in intersection field.The relevant conclusions can provide reference for the traffic control of the actual k-shaped intersection,and also lay a foundation for the further research.
