China's ancient buildings have their own salient features,unique in the world's architectural style,is one of the common heritage of mankind.It has more important meaning and value for studying history of human civilization,carrying forward the national spirit and developing tourism.Also it has made indelible contribution to the development and progress of human civilization.In recent years,a large number of projects aimed at the protection of ancient buildings have played an effective role in the protection of ancient buildings.However,building materials,construction techniques and design concepts for ancient buildings have obvious differences between the modern buildings.there is little research on the aseismic behavior of ancient buildings.In particular,there is a lack of research on the ancient city wall with the mixed structure of rammed earth and brick wall.Therefore,the analysis of this paper is based on "The study on Seismic Performance of City Walls with Ancient Buildings",which Hebei Academy of Building Research studied on,conducted a research and analysis on the seismic performance of rammed-earth city wall and platform.The main contents are as follows:(1)This paper investigated the current situation and building shape of the typical rammed-earth city wall and platform in Hebei.Based on that,It Selected the part of Shanhaiguan city wall and platform which is the most representative as the research object to carry out further research.(2)This paper made a scale model based on the related material parameters obtained by the similarity theory and the mechanical properties test,the seismic wave shaking table test under various working conditions is simulated on the city wall respectively.The displacement and acceleration time history of the key points in the city wall and platform are obtained.The related conclusions and the law of destruction are also obtained.(3)This paper conducted the model analysis and timely analysis of the Shanhaiguan city wall and platform by using ANSYS software.The real response of acceleration and displacement at each key point of city wall and platform under numerical simulation is obtained.Having compared the results of the numerical simulation with the experimental results,its correctness has been validated.Analytical results show that the acceleration and displacement of the key points of the city wall have obvious increasing trend along the direction of height under the action of earthquake,and the speed of growth in the middle part will take a turning point,which is more evident in the city wall.The middle part is a weak seismic area,which is more vulnerable to damage.The seismic performance of the city wall is worse than that of the city.Especially under the action of large load,the transverse cracks are easily formed in the middle part,aslo it will cause serious damage.Therefore,it should be considered the middle part as the key area of the wall protection.
