With the rapid development of economic globalization,the links between countries are becoming more and more closely related.The division between industries is becoming more and more detailed.The competition between manufacturing enterprises has gradually changed from traditional resource competition to supply chain competition.In order to achieve sustained and stable development in a competitive market,it is essential to strengthen the management of its suppliers.At the same time,a set of scientific supplier management system within the enterprise should also be built up according to the needs and characteristics of the enterprise's own development.The thesis briefly described the basic situation,organizational structure,and business performance of Sutai Machinery Company.As analyzed the present situation and characteristics of supplier management of Sutai Machinery Company,it is found the company's defects on supplier basic management,such as information asymmetry,lateral communication problems,high safety stocks,insufficient risk control,etc.As well,it is found the company's current supplier selection and assessment are easily intervened by human preferences,thus it cannot scientifically and objectively reflect the supplier's capabilities and performance;and the supplier's management strategy is less targeted,lack of incentive mechanism,finally led the company failed to effectively build a close cooperative relationship with suppliers.Based on this,the thesis puts forward the optimization program for Sutai Machinery Company's supplier management,which mainly includes: the establishment of the supplier information database management process;the establishment of scientific and effective supplier selection and assessment index;subdividing the supplier's classification in three dimensions on material's importance,acquirement risk and purchase volume;setting up differentiated management strategies to different types of suppliers;improvement of supplier risk management program.Finally,in order to make the optimization scheme of supplier management can be implemented effectively,formulate the corresponding auxiliary measures,such as adjusting the organizational structure,establish and improve the procurement department regulations in order to ensure the desired results can be achieved.
