The traditional diagonal stiffened thin steel plate wall neglects the influence of the overall buckling of stiffened rib on the performance of thin steel plate.To reduce the slenderness ratio of stiffened rib and improve the external stiffness of stiffened rib,cover-plate stiffening thine plate wall is proposed in this paper,which is a kind of strengthen method by covering rectangular steel plate on the stiffened rib surface in the center area.A full-shell element model is established by using ANSYS 15.0 finite element software and validate with the experiment,which proves modeling method is correct.So the CSW specimen is compared and extended parameter analysis is carried out.The main contents and results of the study are as follows:(1)By using nonlinear stability,the convergence problem of thin plate subjected to repeated loading is solved.The finite element model can be successfully established and is in good agreement with the experiment.(2)By comparing and analyzing the buckling,shearing and energy dissipation of the diagonal stiffened steel plate wall(DSW),the lateral stiffness,ductility coefficient and energy dissipation capacity of the CSW specimen are better than the DSW specimen.The cover plate strengthens the steel plate wall effectively.(3)The influence of the ratio of cover-plate similarity,stiffness ratio of stiffener to panel,ratio of height to thickness of cover-plate and ratio of height to thickness of stiffener on the buckling performance of the structure is analyzed.The cover-plate reduces the maximum out-of-plane deformation of the steel plate wall and improves the elastic buckling load of steel plate significantly.(4)To investigate the shear behavior of CSW speciment under monotonic loading,the monotonic loading load displacement curve,lateral stiffness and ductility coefficient are observed.It is found that some of the load-displacement curves have obvious performance abrupt points due to local buckling of stiffened ribs.(5)The hysteretic properties of CSW specimens are studied by analyzing the hysteresis curves,equivalant viscous damping coefficient and hysteretic exchange area of CSW specimens with different parameters.Overall considerate the monotone loading results,furthersuggestions are made for the values of each parameter.
